Just wanted to share a cross stitch picture I've stitched for my mum and dad for Xmas. It's very simple but I love it (want to keep it for me to be honest
). It's approx 5 inches square and is a Lizzie Kate design. The frame looks slightly shiney in the photo but that's cos I'm rubbish at taking photos, the frame is matt.

rainmac the cross stitch is goregous. I wanted to do some hand made gifts this year but just haven't had chance
I always want to do more home made stuff but end up not doing. Maybe I should aim to do 1 thing every month next year or something... hmm...
Thing is, I find it difficult to get into the Christmassy stuff until Oct/Nov, think it's something to do with not wanting to get too giddy too soon somewhere in the back of my mind...?!?!
November on Saturday yeay...(this is when we are allowed to make MILD references out loud in our house. When it gets to 1st December we're allowed to mention it as much as we like!

I went to a massive ASDA in Sheffield and they didn't have the popcorn boxes, apparently they are only in selected stores, not sure how you find out which ones but I really want to get hold of some now, would be perfect for my hampers for my friends....God is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

they have some ceramic paint your own decorations in home bargains. £1.49 for 4. I think they were a bit more 'ornate' then plain stars etc but good for kids?0 -

hello,
not sure if it was on here or not - flavoured vodka using skittles and other hard boiled sweets etc. well i have spent the past 2 days hunting round the shops for some small bottles with lids and had no luck.
anyway i drink the bottles of smirnoff ice.......i rinsed thoroughly inside and soaked them to get lables and glue off and left to dry. i went and bought some of the plastic bottle stoppers from wilkinsons (fractionally too big due to ridges) so i attacked 1 with carefully fwith a stanley knife, and took the ridges off. it is still a tight snug fit but works. (not sure about turning upside down etc so will need a tesco bottle box thing.)
i have started the 1st 1 - blackcurrant skittles, we will see what happens in a few days! LOL!
ps, is vodka likely to cause the lid to go POP? like wine can do when you make your own?due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
