  • I can't just sit and watch tv - what a waste of time :rotfl:.

I've been knitting and cross stitching amongst other things since I was 14. OH was taking the mick about my knitting last night but had a rethink this morning when he was watching Lorraine Kelly and saw a cardi almost identical to the one I've just finished at 4 times the price - asked me if I could put the money into his plasma tv fund
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • Hello there,

Well you are certainly keeping me on my toes, up to now my organisation skills have been non existent but your encouragement and positive outlook has helped me to organise the other things in my life too! :A

    Hello to all the Newbies!

MrsLove like crazychatter I'm also intrigued by your 3wishes genie bottle, can't wait to hear about it.

siriukjs hope my home made Christmas will be as special as yours have/will be.

Thank you to pig_let_cool for the chocolate truffle recipe.

Sheyo I'm sure your son will appreciate the journal in the jar gift and agree with maria and the imps suggestions.

Triggles I hope you recover from the stomach flu soon. Like you I'm coming up with reasons to do gifts, I've just printed off one of those free personalized Christmas books for my Nephew, he's only 5 months, lol!

Mary - apparently if you put in some rice with the lavender the rice kinda soaks up the sweat (like it attracts condensation stuff etc) I know what I mean even if nobody else does.

Not been up to too much, got a load of labels made for my bath salts and bath bombs which are looking good. Just printed out some little labels on red and green paper, used some plain black card as a backing, punched a hole in the corner, used curling ribbon and then on the back put some confetti or embellishments, look quite good if I do say so myself.

Other than that not been up to much, waiting on couple of bits of pieces to make a start/finish to hampers and crafts... keep getting new ideas, and been getting stressed out at work because of one of the girls in the shop which isnt helping lol
  • Hi crafty people :D

I have never posted on this thread before, but I do drop in and have a read of what you've all been making!

I am very taken by the idea that one of you had of filling a box with handmade cards or notelets, I think that would make a lovely present for my nan. But I dont seem to be able to find a suitable box anywhere, and I was just wondering where the rest of you have got one from? I want to fit quite a lot of cards in it, maybe 20 or more?

    Thanks for your help!

  • Oooh yes thats a good idea thank-you! I will google cd/dvd storage boxes and see if anything suitable comes up!
  • wh smith had the dvd boxes in purple/blue/pink and black down to £4.99 each today. not sure if this is all stores or just mine having a silly sale like it does every couple of months.
