  • Hey all, I am a bit of a microwave popcorn addict and when they stopped selling the sweet flavour in my local Tesco I was really annoyed but lo and behold if poundland don't seem to have all their stock now :j . I thought it would be good for the movie night hampers as it works out as 33p a sachet. Or... you can buy popping corn in a lot of places now and it would look really cute in a cellophane tube with instructions on a little sticker or tag... Maybe with some cinnamon sugar or something to go on it.

  • For a woman of your considerable talent Maria, not long at all. I reckon if you could print the stuff off then maybe 2 hours. Though you need to work out what to put in each pocket...

  • I can't stop thinking of new ideas and though this was supposed to be a MS exercise I'm sure I'll end up spending more as there are so many amazing ideas :)
Because of all your inspiration I think I am going to do some journal jars for my Mum, Aunty and Grandma, have some Ikea kilner jars that would be perfect and think they would fit into the hampers too... Still stuck for my brother though, he is a Dad to my gorgeous 2 1/2 year old nephew, works in pizza express and is a good cook. He loves designer stuff and spends a fortune on gadgets and clothes. Any ideas? (who am I kidding, of course you have!) :)

  • Hey!

maria and the imps can't remember who originally gave this link but I used http://www.northpole.com/Overview/StoryList.html to print off my free personalized story. They have 3 to choose from and loads of other printables as well.

Also found this site http://www.billybear4kids.com/story/personalized/ChristmasPlay/storybook.html but haven't used this yet, HTH!

MrsLove your 3 wishes genie bottle idea sounds great, I like your poem too.

Wow mary you're certainly coming up with some great gifts for your kids and grandchildren, if you have any left over...:D

Thanks for the sleep pouch links brookeslay, I'm getting in to this crafting lark now and really enjoying it. Although it looks like a bomb's hit my living room, so not as organized as I thought! :o

I love sweet popcorn too, bought mine from Sainsbury's for £1.95 x3 bags (65p each) so will be buying it from poundland next time thanks sian the green.

This site has free printable popcorn labels which you can edit http://alenkasprintables.com/microwavepopcornwrappers.shtml

Elastic bands round the top of each one and a brown shoe lace to tie them together - little verse and that was one pair done.
Can I ask what the verse you use for the shoe fresheners?

stormbreaker - course, no prob. I did two:

Pop one in your left shoe and one in your right
Make sure you leave them there overnight
In the morning there'll be a smell oh so sweet
No more will you suffer from 'sweaty feet'

(That was for oldest son - his feet have been a standing joke for years....lol)

    The other one was

    Put these inside your trainers
    One left, the other right
    And smelly foot odours
    Will vanish overnight

Not sure yet who's having these..................lol
