i tried to print out the pages i needed to make the advent calender but can't open the page, so i got the hump as that was the one i wanted to make
any ho spent ages looking for other ones i could do and found 4 but now can't decide which one i want to do

got some pictures ordered off of snapfish (free prints, pick up rather than delivery so free for that, and through pigsback- very mse) going to cut them up and do a mini-collage of the 2 of us for my OH
Other than that not got much going on just now, need to wait on deliveries coming through and payday!

brookeslay- where do you stay? I noticed you mention shropshire on here and going to telford on the finished basket thread- i am in shrewsbury

maria - I'm sure you could make the original one - piece of board, painted white or whatever colour you wanted - cut out some squares from odd bits of scrapbooking/card paper, make little envelopes and stick on them.

Oh...........just had a thought........I've got a couple of cork boards doing nothing in particular.............wonder if I could do something with them in time ...................??

oh me to wonder what i could do with mine, maybe cover it with paper , make little envelopes and decorate and attach them to the board put a little pressie in each one, wolla a advent calender ......

well monkey number 1 is nearlly finished, i found another roll of cotton,stil no sign of the other 1! i just have arms and nose to finish, and of course his eyes. i have stuffed mine with bean bag filler in legs tail and ears and i am doing the arms the same. body is toy stuffing. and he sits lovely on a shelf and his legs dangle.


i recall reading about a christmas eve box - can anyone recall what page it was on, or who it was by, or what wwas in it etc??? thanks

Got grandaughters handbag pegs out this morning (I'd nearly forgotten about them !- what a carry on - mdf is so hard screw pegs won't go in................lol So, OH is going to get a piece of pine for me....................he says...........lol :rotfl:

maria i so love anything with little envelopes. I hope everything prints out for you and behaves nicely. If i did scrapbooking I would have everything popping from little envelopes. !!

mary43 good luck with weekend makes. My OH just goes into auto pilot (i.e nodding etc..)when i tell him about crafty ideas..lol

98jdougl i`m not far from you Telford/Ironbridge area. I like Shrewsbury as it has quirky shops . I also bought some nice bargains @ the antique centre there.

Also on the sleep bags idea i found that muslin bouquet garni bags are cheap and easy to adapt. I wonder where you can get scraps of vintage material or samples of something like cath kidston so i could stick hearts or stars on the front??

well the kids at youth group made reindeers last night! i had 1 i had made b4 hand to show them, and then had to make 1 step by step as we were going along. wasnt an easy task with 24 kids aged 4-10yrs! some ended up better than others. they enjoyed doing them though.
