Hi Mrs Love! Welcome to the madness! Love the idea of those pots of rainbow sherbet as I hate liquorice too.
Maria - its really hard to get up. I have the alarm set for 5:50!! and I only get two lie ins a week! Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -
Lovely sunny day but bloomin' cold when I went to empty some rubbish !
So far ignored housework - far too strenuous for me with my hacking cough..............lol so sat and filled in a bit more of my Memory Book (got it from charity shop and filling it in for one of my kids) then made another sock snowman. This one, well, same as the first - white sock with red/white check frill that becomes part of the hat -stuck the eyes on - had only got red nose left so put that on - only thing I'd got to go round its neck was a greeny coloured thickish ribbon so popped that on and stuck some green glass beads down the front for buttons. Hope that don't sound too naff ! Stuck a red bow on its hat as well...................:T
Now, question about Journals - I've done one for my friend - what can I put in the front of the journal so she actually understands what its all about ? Has anyone put something in the front of theirs ?
rainmac - Cat seems ok (at that price I should think so)- well not scratching so much - I had another good nights sleep - only cough when I get up - maybe I should stay in bed...................lolMary

I haven't been in here very much lately - been lurking and reading mostly - as I haven't had the time to do my crafting stuff! But Christmas is looming and I need to get in gear and start getting things done. I love the little sewn felt adipose men and since DH is a massive Dr Who fan, I might make an attempt to make one for him. There are a few holiday things I'd like to sew - Christmas stockings need to be made - and possibly a few ornaments or decorations. DH bought me a sewing machine for my birthday, and I'm itching to put it to good use!
I love the snowman soup and the spiced coffee stuff. My son is too young for nursery or school, so no teachers to buy for. Sadly, I found myself trying to think "these are so cute - who can I make them for?" :rotfl: Pretty bad when I'm looking for more reasons to do gifts!!
I'm going to look back through and examine the directions for the sock monkeys as I think these would be perfect for both my 2 year old, and my 2 grandchildren. I figure the first one will be the hardest - then it gets easier, right?
Started organising christmas cards, then the stomach flu interrupted that. So hopefully will get back to that this week.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Icehockeyfan, that sounds a good idea! I got a kit last christmas with the paints, just had to buy a relief outliner, I got one for £3 from a craft shop but then saw then for £2 in The Range. I'v started doing a couple of vases with a swirly design in a gold outliner and think that they look good just like that without any paint, so that would be quite cheap to do.0
