  • What about making a really nicely decorated booklet of "vouchers", each entitling someone to things such as free babysitting, help to decorate, walk their dog etc. Things that people will appreciate but don't cost money.

BMF - I'm putting some sweets in with some quotes and silly sayings that are in tins and labelled them 'pick 'n mix' just to make them a bit more fun and my pot of gold I thought I might pop a few pound coins among the chocolate.

  • Hi, I have lots of red organza ribbon (about 23mm) wide and wondered if any of you had any ideas for a (really!) simple Christmas craft I could do using the ribbon. Any suggestions would be really appreciated, particularly if I don't have to buy lots of expensive bits and pieces for the project!

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but thanks for your help.

Rainmac - you kindly helped me with advice on making the lovely name plaques you had made for your children. I'm ashamed to say I haven't started yet but thanks for the help - I will do it soon ...!

    Hi Crafters,

I'm a lurker on this page!

Can I ask, would it be possible for the first post to have a summary list of ideas with their post numbers. The thread is brilliant, but it's difficult to find the project you're looking for, without going through zillions of posts.

Hope you're not offended by me suggesting this, particularly as I haven't contributed anything by way of craft ideas.

Think that would be very time consuming for all as we would all have to go through about a zillion posts too lol as i doubt anyone has the info to hand

I read through all the posts when I started here- we were at over 70 pages then.

Alternatively if you know roughly what you are looking for ask for a name and then search it or jut search the thread

  • maria and the imps those blancket are lovely did you use a kit or make them yourself ?

I want to get a nice ikea blanket i`ve seen i was going to use those iron on patches if they worked on a coolish iron slighty worried about the fleece fabric.

I`m a good cook and can make things but sewing is my area i`m not very hot on. So any help would be gratefully recieved. :j

Thanks brookeslay that is a good idea. I can imagine my husband would come out with something along the lines of 'What on earth is that' (need to send him round to 98jdougl's house for a few tips from her OH!!) but I think it looks cute. I guess I could adapt this to make napkin rings or something similar.

Any other ideas on projects for red organza ribbon would be appreciated!

    Thankyou
