crafty for christmas 2008

ahh thanks everone i made the spotty ones because i couldn't think of anything else to do lol finished the little imps no sew blankets last week i finished them of with a crossstich of there names and a butterfly for mia and a rocket for joshua so i'm slowly getting there but still have so much i want to make for them

rainmac, all wonderful gifts as usual :j :j mmm those pots of gold have made me crave choocy again they looked so scrummy, doctors orders - nothing with any fat in, you're a wicked woman :rotfl: :rotfl: I made sure I kept out of the chocolate slab thread too. I've nearly lost 2 stone.

christmas potpourri recipe

3 handfuls of orange slices
5 broken up cinnamon sticks
5 whole mandarins dried or just add pine cones
1 handful star anise
1 handful rosehips
1 handful cloves
10 drops in total of cinnamon and orange fragrance oils.

Ooohhh, may have to try this. I sat here for a few seconds with my eyes closed imagining the smell, lovely!

Sugar strands would be fine wouldn't they. Had I have thought of that I could have saved a quid on the sugar as I have a few of those cheapie tubs of strands :rolleyes: I'll know for next year... :rotfl:

Can I ask, would it be possible for the first post to have a summary list of ideas with their post numbers. The thread is brilliant, but it's difficult to find the project you're looking for, without going through zillions of posts.

Hope you're not offended by me suggesting this, particularly as I haven't contributed anything by way of craft ideas.

I've got my no sew balnkets still to make for my two boys and thought I may add a cross stitch something. Great minds and all that Did you stitch onto the blanket or stitch some cross stitch fabric onto the blanket? Does that make sense?

i stiched on to aida and then cut around it and sewed it on to the blankets and then frayed the edges,, going to pick kids up from school but will post pics when i get back because i'm not sure i made sense there lol
