lol, ben (my OH) is feeling all famous now...
do you want the ribbon as a decorative item or as a gift??
Dont know why I am asking since i have no clue but something may come to me0 -
The individual napkin rings sounds a lovely idea and you could add a name tag to each one as a place setting.:j
If you made the wreath you could add sweets as I remember someone on here making one to use indoors.
Or try making a meduim one as a candle ring base. If you built up the centre piece decorated with fresh flowers and a church candle placed around the base of a Hurricane Lanterns to really spruce up a table display.
Also you can buy plain willow wreaths thread the ribbon around it and then tie little heart shapes or stars to make a more homespun vibe.
Use this for inspiration

Finally I found this link for no sew fleece cushion/pillow. If it was done to meet your blanket and maybe personalised too , they would make a lovely gift.

This is an easy to make, christmas crafty thing to do. Ive tested it today.
Get a small jar from Ikea these with the metal lid come in at about 99p.
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40065867
Then get 3 for £1 on kiddy's sweets most of these are retro sweets like cola bottles etc... and fill the jar.
Then get a piece of material to put over the top and tie a ribbon round and then make a homemade tag and put the persons name on it or merry christmas.
I work this one out at roughly about £2.30 per jar depending on what you fill it with.
Also you could fill it with bath salts for mums and diabetics and put a small wooden scoop in with the jar.
Anyone got any thoughts on this one???0 -
yeah, the retro jars, bath salts have been mentioned a few times and seem popular
think my local sweetie shop is on these boards, noticed the sweet thing in the plastic boxes with comartments today filled with sweets at £1.500 -
I've done something similar filled with bath salts, but I have no idea where to get a little scoop thing from - have you seen any? I haven't decorated my jars yet - I am wondering what would look best, a simple tag or curling ribbon? Any ideas?...."A" is for Opple if yowm spaking loike a yamyam!0

Sorry to disappoint you, but I've cheated and filled the jar with Wilko's Radox bath salts and their own brand, and have layered the jar in stripes of the different colours. Not MSE but they do look pretty...."A" is for Opple if yowm spaking loike a yamyam!0

Well that sounds like a pretty good idea anyway:rotfl: . I will hunt for a few minutes longer and then maybe it is off to Wilkos I will go.
