I've used this lemon bath salts 'recipe' lots of times this year and it's been great each time. I've got epsom salts from ebay as I couldn't find any locally.

I'm going to have a go at the chocolate cake salts recipe on this site too.

I bought wooden scoops from a local kitchen shop and more recently from ebay. 10 for £5.10 delivered. Great price but only if you intend to use all of them ;)

Thank you somuch for taking the time to help me, it really is appreciated:beer:

  • how about a little chrismasy party bag, with a small snowman soup, crayon cakes, one of these http://own-two-hands.livejournal.com/46859.html, maybe a ballon, couple of bits of little paper to draw on, and a few small sweeties

  • I was thinking of a decorative idea for the ribbon but gift ideas would be great too - I'm basically looking for inspiration and a good use for red ribbon.

    Thankyou

I have a decoration ribbon idea that my mum used to do.
Cut of a length and tie the into a bow, then safety pin a length of ribbon hanging down from the bows knot, you can then attach this to a wall (my mum used to place the under wall mounted light fittings, not sure why, maybe symmetry!?) pin all your Christmas cards that you receive onto the ribbon working, down the length of ribbon which is hanging from your bow's knot.
Hope the instructions make sense, if you interested in the idea and it doesn't, pm me and I will email a rough picture/sketch.
    Thanks Hannah !
Proud to be dealing with my debts

    Crayon cakes - http://www.fawnandforest.com/blog/2008/6/16/108-project-melted-crayon-cakes-

I'm going to have a go at these recycling some of our old ones. Maria - you've just reminded me that I still need to do these...

  • I bought these off ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-CRACKER-BOXES-WEDDING-FAVOURS-GIFT-CHRISTMAS-BOXES_W0QQitemZ120315421816QQcmdZViewItem?hash=ite m120315421816&_trkparms=72%3A1301|39%3A1|66%3A2|65 %3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I plan to make truffles, wrap them in xmas tissue paper and put them inside. Then write the person's name on them with glitter glue to jazz them up a bit! So all in all thats about £10-15 spend on the boxes, tissue paper/decoration, ingredients and you've got 10 pressies!

  • Oh my goodness! It has taken me four days but I have read the whole thread and now I'm sad that I'm upto date! if that makes any sense! I feel a bit voyeristic though as I feel like I know you all, Mary, Siren, rainmac, melissa... you have all done such wonderful things, I adore the scrapbooking, blankets, snowman soup, sock monkeys and... oh everything!! and now I have a million ideas for this year and not enough time but I'll try!!
Just wanted to thank you all, I wish I had been a part of it from the beginning!
