rainmac - I think you're doing well considering all the things you've done.
Think I'll have to 'shelve' the ball of life until next year........can't seem to find a tennis ball for love nor money..................lol So thats on next years list.
Went to a boot fair this morning and got some boxes -various sizes from bigger than a shoe box, downwards, for £3 - 7 altogether so that'll save me having to cover any more shoe boxes - one job less to do !
Almost finished baby grandsons door hanger - done the'sant stop here' side and put a teddy piccy saying 'night night' on the other side with letters spelling his name on a brown ribbon (otherwise they wouldn't have stood out) and the brown tones with the teddy. Just need some little embellishments now to finish it off.
Going to have another go at the 'smelly feet' thing. The socks I did filled with lavender ended up looking like sausages but found some little baby shoes this morning with teddy faces - they won''t stretch like the socks did - so hopefully, thats going to work ok.
Popped over to see ex foster girl after boot fair - glad I did - her doors all have the old fashioned latches on so I'll have to do the ribbon on her hanger as a loop - I think............we've got one door with a latch so I'll have to try it out.
My main fret at the minute is sorting out all the stuff I've got into respective baskets and boxes................if OH gets around to shifting the 4 portable tv's he shoved in the spare room that ought to go to the tip then I can make a start.Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

wow, serious work ladies- am thinking of making a 'dammit doll' but doing a sock monkey for it and just stealing the poem from the dammit doll due to my lack of hand sewing ability and my machine being broken.
have got some things waiting to arrive and using lots of free samples (when I can find them, loving the freebies baord hehe) to bulk out my hampers a little bit, i be cheeky like that!0 -

Here are my pots of gold. I used half price bowls from Whittard £1.25 each; a box of Ferrero Rocher; 4 bags chocolate coins from Asda £6; scratch cards £12 (OH's bowl only has one scratch card in cos I seem to have lost one  ). The lottery tickets are held together with a little peg with a gold star on. I used a bit of colour co-ordinated tissue in each bowl to bump the contents up a bit so the bowls look fuller. 3 are for DS1's teachers, one for the OH, one for our next door neighbours and one for my m&d (I know my dad will love it)... If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

Here are my balls of life...
Thanks so much for the idea Candy, I think it is fab
I bought a set of 3 tennis balls for £1.99 in Sports World. One for the OH, one for my dad, one for my brother (but for his birthday in January). If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Here are my bags of reindeer food. I used oats and sugar crystals that I mixed with red food colouring (turned out pretty well)...
I've put the mixture into small cello bags, done up with an elastic band and then...
...wrapped in hessian so they look like mini sacks.
Very cute
Can't wait till Xmas now :j How many days to go? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
