Mary - Wilkinson used to do pretty gardening gloves and I know I saw some dark pink suede ones in the recently. About a month back Asda sold off all their suede gardening gloves for around 50p, both mens and ladies. Might be worth checking if they have any odd ones left.
  • That is some gorgeous cross stitching MRSMACAWBER and possibly the neatest knitting I have ever seen before lol. I loved your post for the sarcasm in there it made me really giggle. Are you the lady last christmas who made those wonderful hand baskets full of german foods *licks lips* and then everyone was asking where you got it all from lol.

Angie - they hadn't got any in the Wilkos down Mums but I might be luckier if I make the trip to Lincoln.

  • Aww mary that is a real shame you can't find any of those gloves :( I saw these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Value-DIY-Ladies-Gardening-Gloves/dp/B000QF96MM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1220700423&sr=1-2 but still quite expensive :( If you want me to, I can pick you some of those gloves up next time I go to town? :) xx

    Hi
    Thanks Pinkladymel...
Not sure the kniting is that neat... looks like dishcloths compared to when my mum used to knit :p ... Still ..just like most cooking in this house ..it is "rustic" :D
Im using the same wool that I have been using to knit the little stockings for hanging on the xmas tree... so I need to get my mum to send me some more -its cheaper and a better choice in the UK ;)
Yes, It was me who did the German themed hampers last year for xmas..and hubby who had to wedge them all in the car :rotfl: .... they went down brilliantly :T .. We aren't going back this year..so I won't be making them this year  .... Not sure how im getting mums x stitch home yet  -my brother is coming over for xmas -so i might have to see if it wil fit in his case once I have framed it... i won't put the glass in as mum has non reflective glass cut anyway ;)
After I have finished mums im going to make a start on making x stitches etc for the hospice that looked after my sister -to sell/raffle to raise funds..so I need to get my bum into gear..
keep coming up with the lovely ideas folks ...

Mary - there are loads of gloves on ebay. just saw a pair that were from Tesco so may be worth checking there or in Tesco Direct.

What about this type?? Postage disc on multiples!!

    Hi All!

Just here very quick to share a couple of pictures of Eddy! My other half loves him which makes me happy although I think he could have come out better if I had had more time to work on him. Anyway the first piccie is just Eddy and the second is my other half holding him up although he was too shy to show his face so is just peeping round hehe. :D

Wow, MRS MCAWBER - that lady is stunning, I so wish I had the patience to stick with larger cross stitch designs. I like finishing something in a few weeks or sooner :rotfl:

Siren, wow wow wow, Eddy is fabulous! You should be so pleased with him. You're putting the rest of us to shame as you've recently posted a cross stitch, a blanket and an original painting. I really must get my bum in gear to finish/start everything I need to do for Xmas. May have another cup of tea first... :p
