Bashful - hello, and welcome, everyone on here is so talented, any questions you have - just ask - someone will have the answer!
Siren137 -can't wait to see Eddy! And I love the cross stitch, the little buttons are so cute!
Welcome fluffybishop - crikey, it will take you ages to read the whole thread - good luck!
Pinkladymel - sorry I was having a dense moment - I hadn't noticed you had already posted a link. I just had a quick scroll through your blog, and OMG - your stuff is gorgeous! I am very new to scrapbooking, I have only done a little mini book kit so far, but I loved it. I've just had loads of photos developed so that I can do some more. Do you tend to buy kits, or individual pieces. There are so many products out there, I am finding it really hard to choose which to go for - they're all so gorgeous. I could spend a fortune! I have got a few bits, but I think I need to stock up on embellishments - buttons, ribbons, flowers etc. Have you got any favourite online shops that you use. Sorry to ask you so many questions, but I am really in awe of your work!0 -
This site looks reasonable for buttons, ribbons etc, postage is £2 for your whole order. Nice buttons on there.

I've not ordered from them yet so can't comment on their service.0 -
Hi all!
Just framed my cross stitch and I'm so chuffed with it! It looks so nice and cost me hardly anything! The cross stitch was free with a magazine I would have brought anyway, I used the card from the back of a notepad to back it and the frame was £1.80 I think from Wilkos!
The background to the piccy is one of the throws I brought from primark. Its laid out on my table at the mo as I'm in the middle of cutting it ready for a no sew blanket. I though it would make a pretty background hehe:beer: Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -

Siren, so well done for finshing the cross stitch, it looks fab!!! I was going to stitch it to add to my outlaws Chinese themed hamper as I think the tree has an oriental look to it but to be honest they wouldn't appreciate it and I haven't really got the time so I've parked the idea! Love the kit though, maybe will stitch it for me when I have more time - maybe January!
Forgot to say, how are you getting on cutting up your blankets? It feel wrong cutting them up doesn't it? I have started my first one but it was late at night and I was tired and cut the wobbliest line you've ever seen so gave up and hope to resume tonight!!! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Hi guys!
Thanks for all the lovely comments on my cross stitch. I felt like it took me forever because it was so detailed and had a lot of fractionals which I had never done before. And the colours in the blossom and the butterfly constantly changed and I had to unpick 3 areas of it as it did it was which was so frustrating. So happy its done now and it looks better than I thought. PLus I only used 5 buttons and they give you 20 so that some more bits to add to my supplies hehe.
Rainmac - I started cutting mine last night too and did exactly the same thing! I also cut a huge wobbly line so I also gave up!If I get time to day I will work on it some more but its my other half's birthday tomorrow and so I've got cookies, cornflake cakes and a birthday cake to bake today and Eddy to finish off! I'm letting myself have a sit down with a brew before I start while I watch trashy Jeremy Kyle!!

Well I had a successful trip to IKEA last night (mmm... meatballs) and bought 6 baskets which will be perfect for my gift baskets. I am going with the girls night in idea and am going to start gathering up bits to put in them. The microwave popcorn is BOGOF in Mr T's so a sachet of that will be going in, some girly bits and then I am going to create and embellish some tags for them and make some mix CDs up with girly music on.
My housemate thought I was mad when I said I was getting Christmas stuff in September. Think I might start on the Christmas cards this weekend too...God is good, all the time
