How do you become a mystery shopper? That sounds quite cool.

Have a look on the Up Your Income board. There is a sticky right at the top. I haven't been in there myself but the title is Mystery Shopping soI guess you'll find all you need there.

    Good luck.

    Thanks Poo.

DD1 has just told me that the the money for her school end of year trip is due. I had totally forgotten about it, the whole school is going to Lightwater Valley (a themepark) at the end of June, and I didn't want to deny her the chance to go, as I cannot afford to take her and her sisters. So I am off to the cashpoint first thing in the morning to pay that. Oh well.

I have just registered with one mystery shopping site, so lets see what happens. Am looking at others now too. Might as well get the ball rolling if I want to be debt free

    Hi NUF!!!!ter

Glad to hear the exam went okay. My husband has been doing a OU degree for what feels like forever (thankfully he should finish it next year) and he suffers terribly when it comes to the exams, he goes to pieces. He just works his hardest to get good grades in all his TMAs and then hopes his exam grade doesn't pull his overall mark down too much, but it is tough because as you have said you fail the exam and you fail the course regardless of how good your TMA marks are....although on the bright side you've only got to get 40% to pass the exam. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your mark though, I know the waiting is tough too!

Well done on the groceries, it becomes habit after a while and you wonder what you spent so much on, although I have to admit I'm supermarket planners dream customer, I can wander round thinking 'that looks nice' and keep filling up the trolley until I've spent £100+, most of it I don't need. So, now I just put the blinkers on or send hubby by himself!

It may be worth signing up to some online surveys, I do them when I have time and although they're not big money earners, they do bring in the odd £5 voucher here and there.

With regard to work, I work for a company that uses a merchandising agency. Now my merchandisers (some employed directly, some through the agency) kind of pick and choose their work. So I was wondering if this is a possibility for you? Some of my merchandisers work full time doing lots of jobs for different companies, some only work for me and do maybe three or four calls a week. My work is seasonal so in our peak season I will use them every week (during which my busiest merchandiser works 2 1/2 days and earns £180-200) but out of season they may only do 2-3 calls per month. However, there are companies that aren't so seasonal so you might get work that can be scheduled in to suit (for example merchadising cards or CDs in a supermarket). It was just a thought that I thought might be worth throwing into the mix?

Anyways, sorry to waffle on....best get to work now!!

Hopefully, when you're well, I guess you have plenty of time? Have a good look through the Up Your Income forum. I'm busy doing clicks for the £3 a day challenge - Even if you start now, no reason why you can't get £350 by Christmas. It really is something for nothing!!!

Had a busy couple of days, mainly just housework tho, yuck. I am still waiting to hear if the house move is on, its still at the admin stage with the landlords agent, so nothing can be sorted yet. To be honest though, it will take it into the school summer holidays now, which is fine, because it will be easier for me not having to transport DD2 back to where we live now before she moves on to middle school in the place we are moving to. Am onto my second week of the grocery challenge and am doing ok. But my older two are at cub camp this weekend so I had to put more petrol in the car than usual to make it up into the wilds of the northumberland countryside and back.

    Spends so far then:

    HSBC Mastercard payment- £45
    Petrol - £30
Postage for letters to DCA's - £5.04
    DD1's money for school trip - £16.50
    Groceries - £3.47

Total spend today £101.01 this week £101.01 this month £383.16
Grocery challenge £50 for the week, £46.53 left
