Just a quickie. HSBC have offered me a managed loan to pay off my credit card and £250 overdraft. I baulked immediately and said no, but am wondering if I should call back, ask how much it will cost each month/interest rate/length of time of loan and see if it will work out cheaper.LBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.

Noooo! I would steer well clear of a managed loan if you can. I have one for 10k at 13.1% for about 7 million years (ok so thats a bit of an exaggeration!). I am about to default on mine so it goes to their debt collectors and then the interest will be frozen x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Stay well clear if you can of managed loans or consolidation loans. You would be paying back so much extra interest on your original debts.
I got those few years back with out thinking but now they have stuck me in such a crappy situation.

I would love to work but my disability can mean that I am well for 2-3 weeks and then can be ill for a couple of months, then well again for a month then ill again for another couple. I haven't found an employer yet who is willing to take me on with my sickness record.
I am also unsure as to how many hours a week I can work without it affecting my benefits, I am on Income Support, Child Tax credit and DLA, and get housing benefit and council tax benefit. Any advice would be great.
Went to Netto for my shopping, got what we needed, but hey they throw the shopping down the checkout at you. I go there quite a bit, but never realised how quick they get it through the checkout, I was nearly juggling at one point. :rotfl:
Today has gone well so far: have spent
Gas and Electric keys - £15 each - £30 in total (paying off what I owe).
Letter, recorded delivery to DCA and £1 PO - £2.52
Groceries - £31.10
Payment to Chantry Collections £12.18
Total spend today £75.80 this week £ 240.04
Grocery challenge £50 for the week, £9.34 left :jLBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.

Wednesday, BUT I shouldn't really need to buy anything else grocery wise this week.
I am busy revising like mad for this exam on monday - am scared witless that I will ruin my excellent coursework grade by failing the exam and therefore failing the course. :eek:LBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.
