Not really. I have a big problem. I owe my mam money, she got a loan for the car I have last march (March 2007) after my old car died (linked to her mortgage somehow-great interest rate-the building society knew she was giving the money to me to get a car). I have never missed a payment back to her - £218 per month. I am worried that if I go to Payplan or National Debtline they will want me to not pay my mam the full amount every month and that this will affect her mortgage. Its stopping me phoning up cos I don't want to drop my mam in the brown stuff.

hi NUFC..i thought i had posted a reply to you sorry, my machine has been playing up today doesnt seem to have saved my reply to you.

I said that i wasnt 100% sure about the debt with your mam. i think you have to treat them as you do with anyother creditor so unfortunatley you cant preferencially treat her and pay her back more each month, even if you could.

What car do you have? how much is it valued at? is selling it and clearing the loan on it an option? again not sure about the last one as the loan wasnt taken out by you but you mum on your behalf.

Have you spoken to the CAB or CCCS and asked their advice regarding the car situation
