Well today's the day, I have my end of year exam for my degree and I am scared witless. I am hoping that some kind of miracle happens at 2.30pm and all the facts that I am currently unable to remember come flooding back when I see the paper. I am in the second year, course 1 of a criminology and psychology degree with the open uni, and while its been hard it has also been fantastically rewarding.
The weekend hasn't been too bad, spent most of it doing last minute revision, when I should have been at the Download Festival with my brother and my friends. It wasn't so bad, but my brother did start to get on my nerves after the fourth phone call telling me how great it was.
Weekend spends have not been to bad, they go like this.
Father's dad spends £ 9.07
Petrol £10
Total spend yesterday £19.07 this week £ 259.11
Grocery challenge £50 for the week, £9.34 left :jLBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.

Well that is my exam over and done with, thank the lord. Got myself 4 cans for tonight and the kids some sweets and some mints, a bottle of water (really should have just got it from the tap, I know) and a can of red bull for before the exam. Am totally knackered both physically and mentally.
Provident loan £15
Groceries £ 6.61
Total spend yesterday £21.61 this week £280.72
Grocery challenge £50 for the week, £2.73 left :jLBM £18463.32 in debt 10th June 2008,£12470.99 in debt 10th June 2009.:jTime flies like an arrow.

The exam went better than I thought, I knew some of the answers, :rotfl: . Anyway, today has been fairly quiet, yet I still managed to spend some money, how, i ask you how?
So my diary for this weeks ends up at
DD1's tuck £1
Groceries 43p
I managed to keep within my £50 groceries for this week so I am over the moon, and we didn't starve either, :j :j :j

I haven't found an employer yet who is willing to take me on with my sickness record.
I am also unsure as to how many hours a week I can work without it affecting my benefits, I am on Income Support, Child Tax credit and DLA, and get housing benefit and council tax benefit. Any advice would be great.
Could you join a temping agency? You wouldn't have to do every job that comes up so when you were well you could work and when you're not, don't.
You should find out if you can work any hours and at least try that.
Does your mom know about the other debt you are in? If not could you talk to her about it and maybe ask if you can reduce the payments for the car loan?
Otherwise, the only other thing I can think of is to get rid of the mobile phone - it's an expense you really can't afford right now, and ebay as much stuff as you possibly can.
Congratulations on keeping within your weekly grocery shop - it's a start and every little helps.
Good luck

The obvious places to cut back is on phone usage, mobile and maybe groceries (don't know how much you were spending on groceries).
You are not too far away from being able to balance on your income and outgoings.
Isn't there such a thing as therapeutic earnings where you can earn up to a certain amount each week/certain number of hours before they stop your benefits?
How about a car boot sale/ebay? a bit of mystery shopping/online surveys etc to earn a little extra cash?
