We're all part of the MSE community, what's the problem?

Maybe one day life may take a direction you were'nt expecting

Exactly! I've noticed that: Some people that post seem to think that are superior to others because they havent lived life, have thousands in the bank but are now getting too old to spend it:rolleyes: . Some people are adverse to risk and think others should be too, yet are bitter that those that arent have profited/prospered from it. Some people are sad and lonely and just spend way too much time on the internet.

I live my life as Trikers quote above says. I dont know where life will take me and so dont spend my time putting others down or waiting for perfection.

    Life is for living.

LOL - I love the way you say you don't spend your time putting others down after doing just that.

    Well said.
I couldn't have put it better myself (nor indeed AS well or I'd have posted earlier).

I understand (in theory I hasten to add :D) your analogy, however I do think that there are some quite sharp commentators on both boards that need to remember that we're all here to guide, support and advise each other.

    It's like saying to someone who has asked you to comment on a dress that doesn't suit;

DFW board, 'mmmm that colour doesn't do you any favours, I think this may be a better choice'.

Housing board 'Your fat, ugly, you can't afford the dress anyway, give up, you shouldn't aspire to wear dresses anyway, get a grip, the dress will be repossessed.'

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I like both this board and the DFW board, and read both regularly - not sure why, but I like them both. Does this mean I want to have my dress and eat it?

    :D

It means you like cross dressing. :rotfl:

I've just had a look at the DFW board...

Scary people indeed. I can see I'd last about 2 minutes in there before being shooed out of the door for my telling-it-like-it-is ways.

I don't know about it being called the "Debt-Free Wannabe's" forum; I think "Tell Me What I Want To Hear" forum is a far more appropriate name for it.

    not quite right

the bulls on here would say

ah, the dress might not fit you now at the moment, but dress sizes only ever go up through life, so at some point in the future it will be even bigger than it is now, and look at what happened 15 years ago with dresses ....
    It's a health benefit ...

I've only been into the DFW board a couple of times and have had to leave before I post under the guise of 'tough love'. Both of the scenarios I saw had more than one mobile phone contract per person and top level Sky. I shook my head in wonderment and left before posting and being asked to leave.

It's OK. It's impossible to miss it. It's everywhere being replayed in slow motion ... the news, the newspapers, online newspapers, here, HPC, youtube.

    Officially it's now a "meltdown".

So everything is going to be fine, obviously and there is no need to stock up on food and fuel.

Incidently, I looked at the DFW board but had to leave due to the uncontrollable urge to hunt down the OP of every post I read and punch them repeatedly while shouting "How the f*** did you think you were GOING to pay it back?".
Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.

Now thats not very nice is it?

What does it matter to you about people being in debt, it's not your money.

Incidently have you ever lived in a squat? I may have known you in a former life.;)
