Hello everyone -
Electra - ((hugs))- as others have said, it does get easier but it must be a very sad day for you today...
Nicki - hope you feel better soon
SSL - hope you are enjoying Liverpool and glad that your house seems to be shifting.
Pigpen - DD2 was REALLY bad at bedwetting and general dryness during the day. I still take her to the urology clinic, but I would never give her the meds to help keep them dry. Have they done all the usual tests for low grade infections, reflux, muscle tone etc? The specialist urology nurse at Alder Hey hospital, near to me, was a huge help. She started by makng DD sit on the loo with her feet on a step to bring up her knees - this makes the bladder empty out better and when she does a wee wee she has to count to 10 before she can get off. I was also told NEVER to give her blackcurrant drinks of any kind and to limit all other squash, sugar free or full sugar, to before 4pm - only milk or water after that. It has helped but she is still sometimes wet, plus she has the added problem of having bowel contintence problems. What med did they offer you for her?
I did a bit more of DD2's room this morning but gave up because I couldn't face it today.
DD1 didn't come in until 7am and so is just stirring now:mad: -DD2 has gone out to lunch with ex OH.
Hope you are all having a good day.Jane

they've offered the oxybutynin hydrochloride.. none of the side effects look awful.. they reckon she has a 'twitchy' bladder and possibly also some muscle incompetence.. we have sopping beds every night.. 2-3 times is normal she also dribbles during the day and cannot hold it in at all.
I've still not got my shower and have just got food.. very slow progress today.. I have loaded the DW though... we had no clean pots.. and the BM is onLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

my girly out pees the dry nights.. her duvet has been washed 5 times this week due to leaks! They are getting a tad small though. She is having a referral to urology as well as these meds and she is being referred for investigation into muscle tone and infection etc.
How old is yours??LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

She's 10 and has great difficulty holding it in during the day and dribbles almost constantly. They found out that she had bilateral reflux (where the valves which open and shut when you go for a wee get stuck so wee goes back up into the kidneys) and she had a low grade infection which had been there for ages and which has damaged her right kidney, although nothing too drastic. They did an operation to fix the valves called a bilateral sting and that stopped the infection but did nothing for the weeing problem in general. They reckon that the infection might have damaged her nerve endings and so she doesn't get the same control as other people but to be honest I don't think they really know why she is like that. She can be bursting for a wee and then only do a tiny bit! Stopping the blackcurrant and other squashes has resulted in her having more dry nights, but that might just be co-incidence. She is dry about 5 out of 7 mights now - but by dry I mean that she doesn't flood the bed - she is still "damp" on her pj bottoms and nix. I use a protective sheet on the bed but still end up buying a new matress every few months. I am just hoping that she grows out of it, which, according to the urology nurse, does happen.Jane

mines nearly 8 and is constantly wet... day and night, she is sopping on a night and just wet during the day.. drives me crazy I've resorted to buying her dark coloured pants so you cannot see the marks left on them from constantly being wet.. her moo is sore ALL the time due to her being wet all the time she gets massive bursts of cystitis and has a constant low grade infection which we are dealing with there as well.
I am sick of buying new duvets and mattresses as well.. I watch out for them on freecycle as well I've picked up a few there.. I get the cheapy ones off the other childrens beds and put them on hers if we manage to get a free high quality one..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I apparently have a wet girly bed to change.. again!
:rotfl: I thought you meant you at first after your HUGE vodka lemonade :rotfl: . Hope you get little one sorted soon tho.
Just gonna say Hugs and Hi's to everyone else as my house is minging and I'm hungry
But I have taken up OH's kevlar jeans ready for the Italy trip and made 4 extra luggage straps to hold all the stuff on the bike.
DD is being really lazy and cheeky (but then I suppose she hasnt got a very good role model) and her room is a pigsty.
I've got one load of washing on the line which is now wet throught after the heavy shower so leaving it out as the suns come out again, and more in the WM and TD that need swopping over.
Oh and I scalped the dog and bathed her so today she's nicknamed shorn and looks really cute, like a puppy again as she looks so small.
Right quit rambling, make a cuppa and get on. Need to hoover everywhere today.
TTFNMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
