Electra - I had the weekend list copied from one of the older threads:D .

Skintscotslass - Oops :o just felt so bad that it didnt get much done during the week! just call me teachers pet:rotfl: hope you get that offer!

Haven't done much today, kids rooms are still not done:mad: looks like i will have to do it for them!

DH is playing laptop again and all i can hear is DD2 cackling like a little witchy upstairs. She's probably ordering her big sis to do her room lol:rolleyes:

Right - gotta find a recipe to use up some strawberries and cherries. And got to make more of thriftylady's wartime cookies - my kids have eaten the 25 that i made last sunday. DD1 takes them to school and DD2 just eats them! Making some with carrots and some with apples today! It's a great way to sneak some fruit and veg into our kids with them thinking they are just eating cakes!:rotfl:

My dad passed away a few weeks ago and today really has brought it home to me that I am never going to see him again:(
I know it is going to take time but it is still so hard.

Sending you lots of love. There is nothing I can say to make today easier for you but I can promise you will get through it. You are right it will take time, lots of time, but as the weeks pass the pain will become less 'raw'. This year I could look at the Father's Day cards easier and not think which one would I have choosen for Dad. Take care of yourself today x

    Morning all (just!!)

My brains have stopped trying to explode eventually!! A couple of beers and some chips sorted that!! lol

Electra... big big hugs for you.. it is all part of the grieving process.. you cry as much as you want it is definitely allowed!!! Men are just strange anyway.. they are all a bit loopy lol.. talk to him.. share with him how you are feeling.. you know they say a problem shared is a problem halved.. well it is true.. for most things.. he can't change the way he behaves if you don't let him know what is bugging you.. big big hugs for you both and I'm certain you will get through this and come out stronger and closer than ever.. go get a hug!!

SSL... Thank you.. that is a lovely thing to say.. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

AnWs_mum.. love to the three of you today.. sending strength vibes and hugs xxx

And the weekend list.. I decided as it was fathers day (is it really this weekend? I thought it was next weekend!!) I'd let you all have the weekend off .. I just forgot to tell you.. lol.. so you could spend the day with daddies and grandaddies.. Blonde is a state of being in my case!!

Off to find more stuff to fling.. I am giving up tidying and taking up slinging.. hopefully there will then eventually be nothing left to fling or tidy!! :D

  • Thank you all for your kind thoughts! :grouphug:

Sorry for not doing 'personals' iykwim. I will try harder next week.

Dustykitten thank you for being so understanding. Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mum a few years ago now and I know it does get easier but you never forget.

Planning on going out for the day even though it is raining here. Will not be doing much flying but will start with earnest on Monday.

I hope everybody has a good day.

No I know it isn't.. but he is nearer than I am to give you a proper hug so go get one!! And don't keep your feelings hidden from him he is there because he wants to share the harder times as well as the wonderful ones.. that is probably a better explanation of what I meant.. if not I'll just shut up cos I only confuse myself after a while.

I am once again sitting here in my pj's.. ok.. no pj's but I do have my dressing cake on.. and my knix. I may go get a shower.. cos I niff and I am sending DDs 1 & 2 to the shop for loo rolls.. I am incredibly lazy lol.. my 'vodka and lemonade' last night was in a half pint glass.. 2/3rds vodka and 1/3rd lemonade.. I had to stand in the takeaway and eat my chips becuse I couldn't negotiate walking and eating at the same time.. worked wonders on my residual headache though... I was asleep so fast it was unreal!

I apparently have a wet girly bed to change.. again!

Has anyone tried medication for bedwetters?? Just wondered what they had and if it worked or not?.. DD3 has a script for some to see if they work.. anything is worth a try once I guess.. but I just wondered about more sinister side effects they aren't telling me about.

Hubby has gone to fix a leak at his grans.. so I sent DD4 with him.. she is lovely and he won't be having to watch her while he does the job because she is so good she will just sit and be sweet... Tiddles was upset she couldn't go but she is a horror!! She has been absolutely full of it the last couple of days.. drove me crazy.

    Afternoon all :hello:

((hugs)) to everyone, ((HUGE HUGS)) to those who need them :D

Woken up this morning feeling as rough as sandpaper :( Stinking cold, cough and a sorethroat that nothing seems to be soothing. Thankfully DD is out with ex until something to 4 (he's getting the 4 o'clock train home) so I can chill out for a bit. I was going to get stuck in and clean the entire house top to bottom but my energy levels are rock bottom. Think I might just go to the Co-op for some whiskey and lemon juice for my hot toddies (I know they're more expensive but I haven't the energy to walk to Asda) as I haven't got either left  I'm dosing up on what I can, but it looks like flying today will consist of washing up, making DD's bed with her help and the pre-school bath. Think we'll have pizza for tea as its quick and easy as DD isn't quite up to cooking meals yet, but she's getting there slowly ;) Off to play some games on Facebook ...

    Afternoon All

Huge hugs to all that need them. AnW's Mum and A n W you have been in my thoughts since I woke up this morning. Sending you hugs!

Well yesterday got off to a good start. We went to Sandown Races but before we set off I S & S kitchen, put dishes away, swept floor. Dusted lounge, S & S bathroom and hoovered through. Friday night I even ironed the 2 loads of washing I had done that day. It was so nice to finally get home at 10pm last night to a nice clean and tidy house.

I have an interview for the job I applied for last week, its on Friday. Not getting hopes up too much as its part-time (20 hours per week) but did not say how those hours were broken up. If its 4 hours daily then I am not really interested (I dont think), but pleased to get a response so quick. Have filled another application form in today whilst sat doing nothing at work (yawn).

Not much planned for when I get home, I guess tidy the bombsite that will have been created (although left DH with instructions to keep it under control), was gonna do pizza for tea so will set the BM going for the dough when I get in. Got some of DH workshirts to iron so may do those this evening.

Am still thinking about this OU coures, I really fancy this course but not sure how many hours of study per week it will take. Maybe get the job sorted and then decide. I have until 5th Sept to apply.

Right will update food budget whilst I have peace and quiet.
