Vanilla - thats good news that hubby managed to keep some food down ... long may it continue xx

Well so far DD2 has covered herself in marker pen (thankfully not permanent so a quick bath and it was mostly gone), 2 loads of bedding in the TD (5 single bed matress covers - DD2 managed to get the 3 spares out of the cupboard and got them dirty!). A load of jeans ready to go in the WM, DW nearly finished so load 2 can go on, colour on my hair (seriously need to hide the grey lol) and kids are supposed to be tidying their rooms (still).

Apart from making lunch DH has been playing on his laptop. 10 minutes and I should have lovely brown hair (used to go red but it's been making me look washed out lately so trying the chocolate brown colours now).

And have to write a complaint to walkers crisps and loreal. Bought a multi pack of crisps to find 4 packets missing, and the loreal hair colour was missing the "comb" thingy that's supposed to make it easier to apply. Well not happy with them, lets see what response i get from them!

Toodles for now, see you all in a bit!

I know I've read the posts on here earlier today but I don't think I posted myself!

One load of washing dried in the lovely sunshine (it feels really hot in my back garden). Just tidied round otherwise, cooked dinner, took dog out etc.

Bit bored now. DH has gone to buy the (winning) lottery ticket so I might nag him again about clearing out his bedside table cupboard when he gets back.

WM on. Really wish we had a clothesline to take advantage of sun and breeze. Instead I have to make use of a clothes airer and the place feels like a laundry all the time.:( I try to put a load on overnight then air it in the day so I can put stuff away when I get home but it doesn't always go to plan.

Making progress in the bid to find our bedroom floor but mostly because everything is now on the bed waiting to be put away properly:rolleyes: . Just going to get a drink then back to it...

I'm being scatty and restless today. I've started things on my list but not one of them is complete! We were supposed to have heavy showers but we haven't had one. Even the weather can't seem to stick to a list!!!!

I really need to focus better.....

  • Well - the cleaner sent me a text this morning to say that she wouldn't be coming (hangover) so I texted back and said that as she hadn't been able to come for a couple of weeks now and she was finding it hard, perhaps she would prefer to leave it for a while and I would phone her if I need her. She agreed - think she was fed up coming anyway:j

did a quick S&S of bathroom, kitchen, dining room, hall and lounge and did all the laminate floors with my new steam mop (brill). Have done all the ironing and put away the ironing board so downstairs looks nice! Made a start on DD2's room - filled 2 bin bags with broken toys rubbish etc in about 10 minutes and took them to the tip after I had dropped her off at tennis club. Got one and a half bags full for the charity shop too, and the room still looks like a bombs hit it! She can sleep in with me tonight (she does most nights anyway!) and will have another go tomorrow.

Vanilla - glad OH seems to be improving
Tia - glad the ankle is a bit better

Hi to everyone else - hope you are all enjoying your Saturday!

Recovering i'm so glad it was easiest to let go of the cleaner, i'm useless at doing things like that i end up feeling guilty.

Not getting on to well with the boys room have now 4 more loads of washing to add to the ever growing basket. Plus all the kids are being a nightmare instead of helping think i might barr them from the room.:rotfl:

Right cuppa down me so i better get back to it or i'll never finish tonight.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

we have just got back from the local brewers fayre as we decided to go there for a big lunch and then just eat a sandwich tonight. Both boys now having a bit of a snooze, and we have just loaded up the car ready to go to my parents, and will go fairly soon.

We also just had a quick 10 minutes out in the garden which was really productive, we managed to half fill the green bin again already, and there are also 3 black sacks of grass to go in as well, could do with it being emptied weekly in the summer.

I have also just made up a bottle for ds2 for later. Hopefully we can manage to get him to have another good night. Ds1 is already on course for a late night so he should sleep in too. ;)

To say we could not be bothered to do much today i don't think we have done too bad. We are dopey though, DH just went to put the towels out on the line for me, although neither of us actually switched the WM on, so they were still needing washing.Just rectified that now too.
