I'm impressed by an email I've just had from my curtain supplier - they've asked which tie back goes with which curtain and whether the individual curtains hang to the left or the right.
Blimey, I never knew curtains were so complicated!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

-Hi and thank you.
Everyone else
-Hope you are all feeling better.
Went out for lunch with DH, we do every Friday, he works from home andI'm home most of the time too but we never seem to have time together so we set Friday lunches aside for spending time together. It's nice and we seem to talk more that way, about other things than everyday stuff too like dreams and hopes to make sure we are actually still on the same track.
Didn't feel great this afternoon though, my neck is killing me at the mo so spent the rest of th day laying down. DH brought me tea and painkillers and then went and got Fish & Chips for dinner (after asking me for money!).
Done all my laundry except school uniforms, they can be done later or in the morning.
The bed was delivered as promised, 5 min after the 2 hour time slot (?), not bad I guess. Will put it together tomorrow and go see if the second hand furniture shop wants to give us a few quid for the old bed, I hope they do, it's a sturdy pine bedframe in reasonable condition. Don't want to freecycle it if I can get a few quid (to cover the cost of the Fish & Chips!)
Anyway, cancelled the list for today and might look at it tomorow if my neck is better.0 -

This might be why we need to tell us when and how to clean our houses.....:rotfl:0 -
Talking of things falling out of clean clothes. When I was a painter and decorator I had great pride in rolling out my clean Bib and Brace to the assembled workmen before work commenced.
Imagine my Horror when a clean pair of knickers and a bra beloning to my Ex "flopped" onto the floor in front of a big butch brickie.
I can tell you that job got done well rapid

Evening all
:hello: to all you newbies, quite a few recently! Our reputation goes before us.:rotfl:
Many thanks for the Good luck wishes for yesterday. I was told that a decision would be made yesterday, but I've still not heard anything, despite leaving a message at the agency at 4.30 today! Don't they realise people are waiting for the news, one way or the other.
I've still not posted a list for this week, but have kept up quite well with dailies, level 1 and extra bits here and there, including a bin bag for the charity shop, sorting out my wardrobe, cleared two hotspots, done my handbag etc.
And - I've found someone on here whose parents knew my parents! Small world, eh?
Just off for coffee at "The House of Doom & Gloom" coz DS was there for dinner tonight.
Later...............xDMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Huyton - thats where BF stays. I'm down here about once a month. I'm actually coming down again next week as DD is goin to Australia and flying from Manchester. So we're doing a big 'families meeting families' thing lol
I guess we'll be hitting the city centre tomorrow as DD loves Primark! I think we might check out the new shops as well. I think we've been to Crosby. A girl I work beside is from there. Is that where the statues are?0 -

Yes - Crosby is where the statues are, but I don't really like them because I think they just look like a load of people walking into the sea to comit suicide - I'm sure that must say something about my state of mind but...... The new shopping centre, Liverpool 1 is really nice.
I have done nothing from the list today - I did the big shop, washing is all done but not dried yet, and I did a S&S of kitchen and bathroom but that's all. I spent half the morning on the phone to DD1's school about her skiving - she is in sixth form so it's not so bad but I am furious with her because I know she will regret it when she's older but hey - she knows it all now!
confused Newbie - well done on the pay rise!
Pigpen - hope you get on the course - I am thinking about retraining at the moment but don't really want to do anything too academic - I fancy training in some alternative therapy type stuff (thanks for the info Mudbath!). I don't know how it will work with funding though - I will have to look into it properly and not just faff about with it. I got made redundant two years ago after 20 years in the Civil Service and they gave us 2 years pay as redundancy money, but it is rapidly running out. I haven't worked since because I decided to give myself time off to be a stay at home Mum, as I had never had that luxury before and I have got too used to it!
gnb - glad you got the funding sorted out! both my kids have had that local anaesthetic, but it takes too long to work. Both my kids were born with defects in their urinary tracts and kidneys and needed surgery to correct the problem. DD1 is fine now but DD2 has ongoing problems with recurrent urinary tract infections and nephritis, and also problems with her bowel. She is really good about it all though and doesn't mind going to the hospital at all.
Tia - hope you start to feel better soon - they often say that the second day after a fall is worse than the first for pain.
:hello: to everyone I haven't mentioned - hope you are all having a good evening.Jane
