  • Hello everyone - Was up early today to take DD1 to her Saturday job so 2 washloads done and on line by 8.30, DW emptied, meals organised for the day and now I just need to get up the motivation to go upstairs and make a start on DD2's bedroom. It needs a good sort thorough all the toys and dolls etc so will need lots of bin bags I think!

My cleaner comes today - she has been on holiday in Spain for the last two weeks, but to be honest I need to tell her that I don't need her any more. She is the worlds worst cleaner for a start! She is practically an alcoholic and when she comes she only does a S&S and just spends the whole time eating the butties she has brought with her and sitting down moaning on about her husband and kids. Thing is, she was my Mum's cleaner and when Mum died she said she would start coming to me and because I am the worlds most unassertive woman I said okay, knowing that she was a rubbish cleaner and that was over 5 years ago! I can't really afford the £20 a week for her and TBH after doing flylady this week the house looks better than it has for years! Grrrr - I am going to HAVE to tell her but I am dreading it!

Hope you are all having a good weekend. The weather is nice here, but a bit chilly.

Got to go and make breakfast then we're off out to buy cards & pressies for my Dad and Ex.

OK, foot is much better today! Though I still can't bend it so I can't drive. RICE really does work wonders. My bruise is a nice shade of green too.

Tesco order arrived and has been unpacked. So mad at myself! Spent about £20 on stuff I had ordered twice! Think it may be AOL browser as I am sure I only clicked once! Actually it's £40, got two packs of 100 ciggerettes.

Cleared a load of junk from the PC desk and binned the junk mail that had been pilling up.

    Today I aim to...

wipe down kitchen cupboard fronts (DS2 'helped' yesterday by spraying bleach spray everywhere)
    clean kitchen door
    hoover floors
    wipe sofas
    dry a load of washing

Wow, its quiet on here today.

DD and I have come back from town having spent 3 1/2 hours getting silly little bits, some of which are for OH's trip to Italy next week. Then decided to take a quick trip up to him at work to check they were all ok, which luckily they are. Think I'm going to do some meal planning first then once thats done I'll crack on with some cleaning.

Glad your foot is better tia (altho I admit I missed the part where you said what happened :o )

Dont you just hate the changes in the weather bonsi, 10 mins ago we had brilliant sunshine and now its clouded over and spitting with rain so wont get any washing on the line.

Spendaholic good luck with the cleaner, hopefully she'll notice the difference when she comes back and wont make things awkward. Just remember to put that same £20 away each week for a real luxury treat later in the year.

Nicki nice to hear you're more upbeat, wish I had a social life that was even half wot your is

Glad you had a good night with the boys michelle. It makes such a difference, and we can see it has to you as your lists got longer :rotfl:

and hello to Dusty soappie, boddy, GnB and ssl

I'm going to make a cuppa :coffee: - anyone else? then do my meal planning so catch ya later
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Good afternoon everyone, went to a BBq last night and when i was getting the boys ready i realized every pair of jean was too short so they looked abit funny but we got their books and didn't stay to long.

Hubby up this morning before 8am:eek: this from the man that couldn't get up before noon, so he's told the home treatment team that he doesn't want to be on a high dose of meds that will knock him out. He had a bowl of porridge this morning and has managed to keep it down.:j

Took the boys shopping and have got them 8 pairs of jeans so that should do them awhile.

As i done very little yesterday i'm gonna sort the kids rooms out and maybe move some furniture about. Right better make a start, will update later.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
