thanks shell
tia - sorry, meant to say something nice and comforting to you earlier.;) hope the ankle is feeling less tender quickly,
my baby is growing - he is giving me gummy smiles and gurgling at me. i might try to post a piccie this weekend. i'll get dh to upload to the comp for me to send to his parents. i could do it but i am lazy and why should i do 'everything'0 -
PC playing up - it's taken me five goes to get this page to open...
Confused newbie - Forget about the things that you haven't done, and celebrate your successes! If you are struggling, then try to do just Level One, and one decluttering or fling thing. Remember how long it took for the house to get in this state - you won't clear all that in one day! (Or in my case, one year...sigh. It took me 18 months to get our bedroom decluttered enough to be able to decorate it.
Germish - I have sorted out about ten books to go to the charity shop, so if I've only bought three, then I'm in dust credit!;)
shell - Very well done on the weight loss! I should definitely find out about the courses. If you want to become a primary school teacher, then you go for it! Find out what you need to do, and take the first step.
pigpen - very impressed that you've filled out the application - NOW GET IT IN THE POST!!! You can have a virtual piece of lemon drizzle cake - so much tastier than dog biscuits! And if you get an interview, attend, and get a place, I'll post you a real cake!
Hugs to Tiamai. Please consider yourself tucked up on the sofa with a cup of tea, and your favourite film. (I'm not nearly so sympathetic with my family...)
I have done practically nothing today. I did the weekly shopping, bought DS2 some presents, including a set of dumbells that I struggled to carry out to the car...picked up DD from the hairdressers with her beautifully and expensively coloured hair, had lunch, read the Times Ed, and sat here.
Have you seen anything in the news about the list of failing schools that are threatened with closure because they have fewer than 30% A-C grades at GCSE? Well, I have taught at two of them, done supply at five, and have a job for September at another! I'm really, really cross, because Kent is a selective county, and in my town the top 30% go to the grammar schools. Two of the oversubscribed schools with high CVA scores (this measures the progress that students make in their five years) have GCSE A-C of 28% and 27% - and have been told to improve or they'll be closed!! I think this just makes the Education Secretary look stupid - these are not failing schools. The teachers at these schools should be given huge bonuses for the terrific job they are doing!
Okay, rant over. I'll go have a cup of tea.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Phew any tea going spare.
Had a busy day but no flying yet. Went to sorting office for my parcel. Its half an hours walk there and half an hour back. Never mind good exercise. Now the proud posesser of a purple pair of crocs. They are a godsend for my feet they are so comfortable.
Then went to the hairdressers and after that decided to hop on the bus and go into Newcastle. Just fancied a trip out. Went into Lakeland and bought a couple of things in there. But decided to go through Qidco for other stuff. Went into Waterstones and surprised myself by not buying any books.
Once Ive wrote this post Im going to get flying.

Evening all
Well, today's journey to work took an extra half an hour but, listening to the radio as I drove, my back route was far preferable to the normal route - I would have been stuck for hours in that.
A good day at work - a situation there's been arguments about all week has finally had a way forward agreed so to celebrate, I left work at 3.30 instead of 4.00and stopped off at the garden centre and bought a load of bedding plants for the garden.
Got in to find t'internet down so went out and planted up a lot of them. - they are going in pots on the little patio area where the new french doors open. I'm just having a 'rest' now as t'internet's back up but I'll go and plant up the rest in a moment and then water the garden - although there are clouds, there's been no rain and everything is pretty dry.
Hugs to those who need them
Well done to those doing courses/getting grants/getting pay rises.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Be back tomorrow so have a nice evening ladies. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Hmmm - no children and Hubbles took care of the spare room last weekend so we had somewhere to store the bikes (we live in a top floor flat with no outside space
and you don't leave bikes outside a locked door in Paisley!). Some adapting to do methinks as I don't want to not do something 'fly' tomorrow when I'm just getting started... He hasn't dusted though, and there's still a pile of clothes on the chair...
Funky Friday!!.. Childrens rooms or the spare room of doom
[strike]Level One[/strike][strike]
There used to be a floor in here.. can you find it?
Change the smelly bedding[/strike] not needed
Clear desk and chair
Dust computer unit and big desk
Level Two
Clean the windows
Polish the monitors/tv's etc
[strike]Wipe the grotty patches of the walls and woodwork[/strike]
Level Three
Vacuum the floors
[strike]Clean any beanbags or other soft furnishings.. cushions, curtains for example[/strike][strike]
Sort through a cupboard make it all neat and tidy
[/strike]
Extras
Fill a binbag of rubbish
Fill a binbag for charity shop
[strike]Find something to freecycle[/strike][strike]
[/strike][strike]Find something to ebay[/strike] irrational distrust of ebay...
Now get rid!
Sort out some paperwork
Seems quite a short list but as its Friday I'll try not to be too hard on myself:p
So far managed none of the above and I've decided tomorrow is soon enough:p . Had a rubbish day at work and its the first evening I've had to sit down with the Hubbles all week. I'll 'fly' tomorrow while he's watching the rugby;)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Hellooo, I've not posted since wednesday when I had the day off and there seems to be so many new folks all of a sudden, welcome to all and well done for striking those lists- putting some of us to shame! I'm having a brain like a sieve day, some one suggested I needed a brain de-frag today and it's now become my new favourite futuristic fantasy - you can keep your teleportation, I need a lovely orderly head. Apart from sending huge hugs to Johanne I can't remember what else I was going to say but I have been thinking about you all variously!
I had a bit of a blitz/catch up last night when I got back from swimming and the spare room is still ok from last weekends visitors so I have the night off from Flying. It's probably just as well; I went to use the microwave last night and found some money in there. Not a bloomin' clue.
I'm home alone tonight as I'm at work in the morning so I'll be popping in and out if anyone's about. I might share my wine too..
