I have filled out the application for the foundation for the sciences degree.. it can be done over 2 year so I'll see how I get on should I get accepted in the first place.. it is only 16 hours a week so fits in with DS2's carers allowance and DLA. So.. we shall see. I want to do the biology degree BUT the ar$£hole my SIL calls her husband is one of the technicians in the science dept and I loathe ever fibre of his benig with every fibre of mine... and every fibre of the living room carpet!!

Well done, its a start! I'm sure you'll be accepted. A biology degree sounds good, i did a crash higher in human biology which i loved:D

    Afternoon all

Don't know where the morning went....

One load of washing done, dried and put away.
    Took the dog out.
Gave the living room a good clean, pulled out all the furniture, moved ornaments and cleaned under everything. Tried rearranging the furniture but it didn't fit so I moved it all back again. Swapped a few pictures round just to pretend I've got new stuff....

Cut the back lawn after hacking back some hardy geraniums which were flopping all over the place after the heavy rain the other night. There are still plenty left.

    Cooking lunch now.

I'm feeling in the mood for chucking stuff away but I haven't really got much left to chuck away. I've got to keep the rubbish I've got now (furniture etc. ;))

I'll have a mooch round this afternoon and see if there's anything else I can do.

Tell Your Children Over Dinner. 'Due To The Economy, We Are Going To Have To Let One Of You Go.' I did and they rolled their eyes and pointed at each other!

    I did!

Well done pigpen, now it's onward and upward, before we know it you'll be a mad scientist doing experiments on us and trying to take over the world.

Well done G&B!! Great feeling isn't it? I have handed in my application for a bursary (and they pay fees in scotland whether you are awarded a bursary or not) I should get a bursary but I loose CA. But teh bursary is £81 a week so it's more than CA anyway. And I will get 4 days of childcare paid for too.

Pigpen, I'm doing NC biomedical and biological sciences this year then HNC biomedical and applied biological sciences next year (and year after) then maybe I will go to Glasgow uni for a degree course. Are you sure you would be near him? Can you get him fired somehow?? :D Won't you see him during the science course anyway? I was told that very little of the biology courses are in the lab anyway, it's mostly study.

germish_se, I feel bit like that! And I can't take ibuprofen as my tummy is a bit dodgy allready. And *sob-sniff* nobody is here to make me tea and say 'Oh poor you'... *sniff*

    Tesco order done. :j

Am thinking of doing a BA (Honors) in Childhood and Youth studies. On the school trip yesterday it got me thinking how I always wanted to be a primary school teacher (but then boys came along and study went out of the window). Trouble is doing it the OU way it will take about 6 years. Not sure what the best option is really:confused: . Other option would be to do a science GCSE and then go full-time uni route. Need to discuss the £ side of it with DH. The thought does excite me though.

    As for list

    Floors Done
    Lawn Done
    Bathroom S&SD
    Lounge Dusted
2nd load of washing on line
    Cuddles back on top bunk
    Girls room all tidy

    To Do
    Marinate Chicken (Make BBQ sauce)
Take hosp apt letter to school
Ring insurance co and tell them I passed

Made the lemon drizzle cake recipe last night, DH has eaten about 2/3 of it already:eek: . Will get DD1 verdict later as bit in her lunchbox today, DD2 gave it a thumbs up and demanded another piece.

GnB - yes its emla she's getting, she's had it before with the last lot of bloods and she was okay with it. They want to check her chromosomes. They checked her growth hormones and that was okay, but she is tiny compared to other children her age, so they want to make sure she has all her chromosomes before they look at any treatment. She has constitutional short stature:confused: . She is almost 4 but she has the body of a 2 year old. Saves a fortune in clothes:D but she is so small and frail. Hopefully they will be able to give her something to get her to grow a bit.

Been a naughty girl, had lunch with DH and am just in from there, and out again in 20 minutes to get DD1 from the bus. So I havent done any flying:o

I promise to do better:o i'm going to start flying as soon as i get back from the bus stop:D

We shall see where the path takes me.. they'll probably say it is too late to enrol now anyway or all the places are allocated.. but.. it is freepost so I can't even say I haven't a stamp.. AND I recycled the carphonewarehouse envelope.. cos I'm a scrote!! I just have environmental issues.. lol.. enough of such optimism.. I am just so positive about it all. Last time the college offered me an interview for a course they gave me the wrong room number.. one which doesn't exist, or if it did I couldn't find it anywhere!!! I took it as a hint and went home without bothering to speak to anyone.

I did the first year of the biology A-level (also did chemistry, geography, english lit and english lang).. then spawned DS1 so got no further.. *edits out parts I don't wish to bore you with but spent 10 minutes typing all the same lol*

    Anyway.. back to the hovel.

I have the while week to catch up on... some crappy leader I am!! I lead by bad example!!.. going to find me a list.. I'm sure I had one on Wednesday!

Bonsi.. my DS2 is on growth hormone replacement.. and DD4 is having all her bloods etc done in August.. again!! she is 6 in November and wearing age 3 clothes, I can get her in age 4 if I buy Next stuff.. :D.. school uniform is IMPOSSIBLE to find. DS2 doesn't actually have growth hormone deficiency he just doesn't respond to the amount of growth hormone his body produces. it is as low as it can be without being deficient apparently.. but the artificially induced production isn't usually a good representation of what their body normally does.. He went dangerously hypoglycaemic and had to have emergency sugar input.. he actually scared the nurse who does the tests every week.. his blood sugars dropped so incredibly fast and he was unconscious in seconds.. it was not very nice so I've put off DD4 having it done.. there is nothing of her as it is.. Tiddles is the same size and 1lb heavier even though there are 2 years between them.
