:hello:Hello to lucifa, confused newbie and onedayiwill

soappie, hope you feel better soon. DD has given me her cold, and I've been struggling today...

pigpen - you are not lazy, you couldn't possibly be, looking after your brood. I shall expect you to send me details of that prospectus for biology or sociology by the end of the week. Please make sure that you have completed a draft version of the application form by Monday.:D Go on, you know you can do it - so go for it!!

And that goes for all those other flyladies thinking, well, maybe I could, one day... Of course you can, but why not make a start now?

I did the minimum in the living room yesterday, as I felt yuck, and dosed myself before heading off to work today. Managed to survive two lessons of the dreaded Creative group, with only one removed by senior management amd because the loudmouth stroppy one fell asleep in last lesson, and I forbade the others to wake him up...I'll have to do a bit of catching up tomorrow. I don't have much to do in the main bedroom apart from wash the bedlinen and whisk round the vacuum. Right, must go make lasagne. Fancy a cake too, so may make banana loaf as well.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
  • Ohhh I feel really welcome already!

Ok today I have been at work. Had a horrible day but its one day closer to the weekend! I can survive! lol

    Tonight my plans are -

Dinner (going for a chinese, tut tut I know!)
Shopping (got to go get two fathers day pressies and a present for my Godsons 5th birthday)
Clean (now Im officially 'signed up' got to tackle at least level 1)
Bake (that in itself is hilarious, Im a domesticated disaster! Going to try hobnobs! Least if I poison hubby it will be one less person to clean up after! lol)

Is it ok for me to come back later (if I havent dropped with exhaustion!) to update?!

You can come back however often you like.

thank you for the reminder re Fathers day. These things seem to come up too quickly.

Take away :clap2: told DH that he needs to have a takeaway this evening as the meat hasn't thawed. He seems quite pleased

Have to say twinks hobnobs are great and I like the idea that you can freeze them but with my 2 they never seem to get that far :D

    Evening all

Welcome to confusednewbie, onedayiwill and lucifa (nice to you from the GC ;) )

Not the most productive day in my current house but never mind. I went into Edinburgh and opened a Nationwide account, so I wont get charged for withdrawing cash abroad  Made a wee picnic to eat on the bus as it takes that long, v MSE :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I did strip the bed, wash the covers and air the duvet. Only problem was, I left the covers outside and got ingrossed in the football :o and the rain started chucking it down. DD ran outside and brought the washing in. I wonder what she wants? :D

I also popped into the bungalow. I think I will be needing to read through the index to find out 'How to get rid of fusty smells' Ach, I'm sure just opening every window and leaving them open for a year will work  Oh and guess what? The vertical blinds in the living room are plastic, rather than cloth. They are great, so easy to keep clean ;) I've never seen that before.

lil_me - how did you get on with your washing machine?

Looking forward to the final of the Apprentice tonight. Time for a wee snooze just now I think

Thanks for the apprentice reminder skintscotslass. A good way to get rid of fusty smells in an essential oil, like lemongrass, mandarin or orange, put on a damp cotton wool pad on the window ledge. Best to put it in a saucer incase the oil damages the woodwork. Keep adding a few more drops of oil and the house will soon smell lived in again. When do you move and have you found anyone to rent yet? xx

Quite pleased so far how the week has gone. House appears to much tidier than normal so the flying must be working. If I can keep this up then perhaps I'll regain my weekends instead of spending them constantly cleaning.
Will check back later, if I've done some more.
