sorry - how rude of me - hello lucifa. You've signed up, now thursdays list will appear in post 1 tonight when pigpen gets round to it, and she usually tells us at the end of the thread when she has done it.

Pigsback done, internet banking done. I really can't be bothered to move. Loo, then i think time to start waking little boys up, as both need bums changing, one needs a new outfit, and the other will want a BF. WM still hasn't finished so i can't even do a swap over, that might have to be the last thing i do before leaving. DH assures me he will be in at 4:30, but i'll believe that when i see it. Party is 5-7 although we may stay till 9 when they kick the kiddies out, depends on how well behaved DS1 is and whether we have the energy. ;)

Someone remind me when i buy a new washing machine to get one that has a temp setting and then a 2nd option to allow you to do a quick wash, as bathmats needed to be on a 30 degrees so they don't disintegrate, i chose the timesaver option, and it has still been on about 11/2 hours, where my quick cycle is about 40 mins. For a tiny bit of wee, i wish it was a bit quicker and easier.

Are the same rooms done on the same day every week? I might have to stick to level one Mon-Fri and do some catching up at the weekend otherwise I'll always be using it as an excuse not to sit and study...

The rooms are not always in the same order, although kids/spare rooms are always on a friday. The rest get rotated week to week.
Need to go start dinner, sweet and sour stir fry and noodles, yumyum!

Hello everyone and welcome Lucifa. Have to say I think I need to use the thank you box as my User CP keeps skipping pages of posts so want to see if thanking each post is easier. As long as I remember. Have to admit feel like I could do with a really good sleep.

Well taken the car to the garage today and my clutch has gone £700 o pay. why is it that when I finally think great this is the month that I can finally start to try and clear some of the credit card stuff, something like this happens.

Oh well at least i managed to get it to the garage, was slightly worried that the car would clap out before hand.

Probably already been answered before I get around to typing this (speed isn't my best quality) but the next days jobs normally get posted early evening depending on Pigpen

Hiya Lucifa - welcome to the thread where we [strike]do nothing[/strike] work really, really hard and never rest:rotfl: .

Mumofjusttwo - about your car. Nightmare. You're so right when you think things are going to be ok financially some thing drops on you like a tonne of elephant poo! Our car is making knocking noises when we go round corners again. It cost over £300 at the last MOT and I think it's going to be a lot more than that this time. Talking of which...i'm going to go and phone the mechanic  .

    Speak later xx
  • Ok I would like to join you if that is ok?!

Got married 9 months ago and have lived in a house of chaos for the past 9 months. Go through mad spells of tidying and cleaning and then 24 hours later its as bad as ever again! Im a list kinda girl so thinking this might just work for me! Lol!

Going to start off at level one and if I get any extras then that will be a bonus!

Thinking if I print the list off it will keep me motivated? Is that what you ladies do or are you all pros by now?! lol Actually looking at the list I will need to do more than level 1 tonight cause our living room is a disaster at the moment!

I will come back and update how I am getting on!

Hello Confused Newbie. Some would say welcome to the madhouse but I couldn't possible comment ;)

Mudbath-good luck with the mechanic. Have to say it may cost another £400 if it has affected the gears

Afternoon all and a big hello to newbies sorry I am really rubbish with names but the more you post the more we will remember you.

I've stuck to my plans today and have finally finished planting everything out in the back garden, so pleased with myslef that I might do you a little picture later.

House is another matter but I have finished the kitchen which I started yesterday and washed the sofa covers which are nearly dry.

Need to do tea now, shifts tonight between big ones cricket matches and me and OH having our mops trimmed.

    Be back later

How sad am I - I am so excited about the Apprentice Final tonight:rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

Been a DFW for a while but starting to spend more time here in OS. Mr OneDay & I are working on simplifying our life for a move overseas to a less developed country where life is naturally more old style. Lots of great stuff going on here but this thread is the best.

Was a fallen FLYbaby but this has got me started again - love the fact that the rooms rotate and aren't always on the same day ... works very well for me as I don't work on a Tuesdays or Thursdays (usually) and it means I'm not always on the same rooms those days so everything eventually gets done.
Thank you pigpen :T and thank you everyone else - I enjoy reading your posts.

  • confused newbie and lucifa, I have been on this thread for just under a week and it's brilliant!

I always had a to do list but the jobs weren't specific so I just used to put them off. This way I have been getting on with it and combining housework with all those lost hours I spend on the internet!

I find myself actually looking forward to the next days list :o to see what's in store. Hmmm, maybe I should join in with some of the weight loss threads to see if they have the same effect.
