Just priced up some flights over Christmas and the extras equalling luggage and checking in with infants equalled £155. The flights themselves are £525. That makes £700 when you factor in booking costs for 2 adults and 2 children. These flights were released today so not really cheap. I am waiting for some other airlines to offer seats in the hope they would be cheaper.

Over reaction I think. If the crew didn't mention it, then it wasn't a problem. It doesn't sound like you crashed- or else we wouldn't have had to listen to your rant. Pilots are pilots- they all train in the same way and you forget that they don't want the plane to crash any more than you do. And if Ryanair goes bust you'll end up paying a fortune for flights which I'm sure you don't want to do. If they go bust, you're selfishly forgetting all the people who work for them. Nobody made you fly with them and I don't think they'd care if you ever did again.

Easy tiger. There's no need to be rude to people. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and if the lady was scared, then who are you to say that's an over-reaction?

Blimey, I think some people have a little too much time on their hands if all they do is go around having a go at other people for having opinions
  • I maintain that ryanscair just want mug punters to pay up then not turn up. The world's least customer service airline!

And I flew with them at the weekend!

But isn't that what all airlines really want?

But RMSA makes an excellent point - if you don't like it, go elsewhere. There are thousands of people who will happily take your place.

I'm just about to book a day for Christmas shopping in Bournemouth/Christchurch in December for less than it would cost me to take the bus into town, just need to organise a lift to the airport or my parking will cost more than the flight :)

ps needs to be booked by midnight if anyone else is looking for 1p flights, midweek between October and January.

Yes, and Belnahua (who made the original post) states "never again" (i.e. she WILL go somewhere else). She was mearly pointing out that she had a bad experience. Therefore, is more than entitled to "rant" about it if she so wishes!

SHE? Excuse me!:p My name is taken from the Island of Belnahua of the West Coast of Scotland, one of the slate islands, famous for its roofing slate. I've always liked the name!

Anyone remember when Ryanair chucked off the group who were blind? And I'm not forgetting my friend who was stranded in Rome, as they cancelled the flight. His only option was to catch a coach to another airport at his (and his insurance's) expense to try and get on another airline. Ryanair just closed the desk, and all the staff cleared off. They're okay when things go right, but then they go wrong, Ryanair can take poor customer service to new heights, pun intended!

But back to my Ryanair flight, it's the only time I have been fearful for my life - as we all were on the plane. Now I'm not knocking that things go wrong, but the lack of an apology/explanation was what got me afterwards. Stewards/Stewardesses are there to help the passengers, not barracade themselves in the cockpit and toilets when things go wrong... I've been on some rough flights, and the flight crew have always kept us informed and stewardesses on hand to keep serving the drinks.

Yes, but they don't let their feelings show!:D

Apologies, my mistake. I was just trying to defend you! :)
