I'll happily advertise Ryan Air for 1p flights with no other cost than the debit card charge, works for me :)

You must be doing something wrong.

My 1p flights (bought with a debit card) always end up on my bank account as 1p!

i posted the warning that priority boarding is not free anymore on the 3rd june, this deselect the tick or you get charged for it is not only applicable to ryanair, easyjet play the same trick too

and as sure as night follows day another confusing booking trick will appear before long on ryanair, it dosent matter how many flights i book , i never take anything for granted and double check everything

i will still fly with ryanair despite underhand tricks by oleary, quite simply easyjet who i would choose before ryanair have got so expensive.

easyjet whack up the prices big time and they get away with it, ryanair still offer free flights and get savaged because of booking scams that make you part with more money than you wanted to pay

be carefull with ryanair and you avoid a second mortgage flight with someone else

what you get for a 1p flight is a new plane, and if the ryanair advertising blurb is to belived the best statistics for ontime departure, fewest lost bags , fewest cancellations and in my experience a great service despite paying very little for the flights

We have flown with Ryanair many many times, but our last occasion just a fortnight ago was well unbelievable. The flight was canceled jsut as we thought we were going to board,in truth the aircraft wasn't even there!!!it was 23-00 had already checked in and bang no flights and by the time we had got anywhere near the desk ,no alternative flights for 2 days !!!!
Now luckily it was just my wife and i and were are experienced travelers ,what the hell would you have done if you had a couple of kids or older people,we were lucky to get a hotel in Riga for the night, but we know some others who didnt and we met at the airport the day after ,had ,had no sleep and were just waiting in the hope that Ryanair could provide them with a flight back to the UK(not where they wanted to go) just the UK!!
We are trying in vain to contact them any help will be v much appreciated.
We have come to the conclusion that flying with Ryanair you are very much paying for a Travel Lottery, very good if you win,BUT BEWARE V EXPENSIVE IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE UNLUCKY ONES.!!!!

Yes, thanks. It was the only time we've all, and I mean everyone, has been scared on a plane together. Even the gentleman next to me, a seasoned flyer, said he'd never been frightened of flying up to that point; and we've both been on some rough flights due to weather. It's also when I learnt that Ryanair's complaints policy is non existent.

There was no explanation from the pilot/stewardess, we just all set there in a suffocating burning rubber smell from the second we started rolling down the runway.

In fact the stewardesses all disappeared and didn't even serve drinks during the flight. There wasn't even an apology when we got off, the on board staff all just scarpered as soon as the door was open and left us to it.

    Never again.

It will be a happy day for me when Ryanair goes bust, taking Michael O'leary with it.

Over reaction I think. If the crew didn't mention it, then it wasn't a problem. It doesn't sound like you crashed- or else we wouldn't have had to listen to your rant. Pilots are pilots- they all train in the same way and you forget that they don't want the plane to crash any more than you do. And if Ryanair goes bust you'll end up paying a fortune for flights which I'm sure you don't want to do. If they go bust, you're selfishly forgetting all the people who work for them. Nobody made you fly with them and I don't think they'd care if you ever did again.

If it wasn't for the likes of Ryanair I for one wouldn't be able to afford to travel as much as I do. I am therefore very grateful to Ryanair et al for the cheap flights they offer. I travel with hand luggage only and avoid paying for anything that isn't absolutely essential. Re Aer Lingus offering free flights, for some reasons the taxes they charge are huge and seem to be a lot more than other airlines charge. I don't know or understand why but they are a good airline and if you get a flight at the right price, use them.

We flew to Italy with Ryanair last month. As we're used to Easyjet (with its larger luggage allowance) I warned my mum and sister that it's only 15k allowed in the hold, and suggested they put their heavier stuff in hand luggage.

The pair of them decided not to bother, as it would be "too much hassle" to walk around the airport with anything bigger than a tiny handbag. Imagine their surprise, when one was charged £22.50 and the other £37.50 for having overweight bags:rolleyes:

I, of course, weighed in dead on 15k:j and carried a not particularly large shoulder bag on to the flight with me. On the way home my mum took hand luggage, but sis still paid the extra - despite having had a hissy fit on the way out!
