Unfortunately according to Comet head office, all stores are out of stock of this item now
Anyone know else know anywhere selling them ?
Thanks

A bit of a long shot but it seems that Staples in the U.S. are selling them so perhaps they are available in Staples UK stores ?
I had a look on their web site and there is no mention of them - although they don't seem to list all items they sell.
If you have a Staples nearby, maybe it is worth the gamble of a trip to see or call the local branch ?
Thanks

Right folks, Comet are STILL selling these. Wife picked mine up a few minutes ago. Use saynoto0870.com with 0870 425425 to find the local branch number.
Comet have removed all details of Vonage and the adaptor from their web site, so it looks like a possible product recall. Vonage don't wan to lose all the £10's per month per unit.
Product code is 270202. I rang local branch earlier today and they had 2 in stock. Sent wife out to pick them up. Comet employee spoke to me on wife's mobile. They still have '2 in stock' but 1 has gone walkabout. They tried to order more stock but surprise, surprise none available. They believe the other is still in store somewhere as they remember seeing it recently.
Wife has paid for one and gone off shopping. They will ring me when (if) they finds the other one.
Ring your LOCAL Comet and ask for stock availability on 270202 ASAP!!Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
Gavinp,
Ok I am almost ready to go now. I have the bin files, a tftp server, instructions and wife has picked up the adaptor. i have been using 'Dixons' Freetalk adaptor and the service is excellent (but costs £7/month). I also have Sipgate & Voipbuster accounts for X-lite.
From your earlier posts I believe the 'Vonage' unit has 2 phone ports e.g. Sipgate inward calls and Voipbuster calls out. Can I set it up so that my 4 cordless phones (all linked) can receive calls & make calls rather than say 2 phones for inward & 2 for outgoing? Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
Thanks Stabilo - I don't have a comet near me
I was going to order from the comet website today actually, totally forgot yesterday
Perhaps they might be available from Vonage themselves?0 -

Was your Vonage comment a joke?
If you get one from them now it is likely to have a firmware fix to prevent unlocking.
Try & get someone to pick one up from Comet for you (once you have checked stock at their local shop). Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -

It wasn't a joke - why would I make a joke like that? If it does turn out to be firmware fixed (unlikely IMO - inititally at least) I'll just send it back.0 -

Fair comment, I hadn't thought of returning the unit. I will be returning my Freetalk unit if I unlock the Vonage unit. 14 day cooling off period exists with monthly (but not annual) Freetalk contract (inl hardware return). Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0
