Barclays.co.uk website states that a handling fee applies sp presumably this will be 2% of the sum transferred as has been the case for some time.
I shall try in Branch application.

1. Go to https://www.barclays.co.uk
2. Under "personal banking", click "Barclaycard"
3. Read the summary box & BT T&C's that appear
"Balance Transfers
0% for 10 months from account opening for balance transfers made within 60 days of account opening up to £5,000, subject to credit limit. No handling fee."

 First post ever to these forums.
Must thank Martin and his helpers for a wonderful site.
Have already got a Barclaycard Platinum card which I have just cancelled today, along with three other cards, been doing the BT shuffle for a couple of years or more now and have paid off all my debts,(except the mortgage which I am now in a position to start overpaying) so for those of you with big debts, stick to it they will go, eventually. No holidays, extra overtime, shopping at Lidl all helped, having teenage children does not!
A couple of points for those interested, I cancelled a Barclaycard awhile a go and then applied for another soon afterwards, only a month or so and was accepted, I have found that the initial credit limit was poor (only £2000) when other lenders were prepared to give me 8 or £9000.
I have had to apply in my wife's name for this latest card to help my eldest daughter who has returned home to live with us with store card debts, (all cards now cut up) past her overdraft limit (incurring charges for returned Direct Debits on said store cards, ouch) a car loan and borrowings from three or four family members. I will not give her the money to pay off her debts but will use these forums to educate her in the real world of managing her finances.
thank you for your time0 -
What I meant to say is, my wife has applied for a new Barclaycard,
getting myself in trouble and it was my first post

hi,
got my reply from barclaycard and was rejected due to "the amount of money you are already borrowing from other lenders" (all stoozed)
has anyone who has been declined appealed the decision and was that successful or not?
also can anyone supply an address i can write to to appeal, as i can't find one on their website and there is just a general address on the rejection letter
thanks0 -
