New Top Balance Transfer Card – Get a sneaky extra month of 0%

Oops, that last one was meant to be in a quote. Anyway, is this handling fee the same as the 2% balance transfer fee? or another matter?

Advice please - I opened an M&S credit card, 9 month 0% balance transfer, on Martin's advice - that 0% bt is due for repayment in January 06. I'm trying to be a credit card tart, but am very cautious. I only owe £1300 on the M&S and can afford to pay it off at the end of the period but, as I'm trying to be a "tart" - can I transfer "balance transfers" - if you see what I mean?!! Hope somebody out there understands this!

Yes you can transfer the balance from the M&S card to another 0% deal. You will have to ensure you have approx 6 weeks before your M&S deal expires, to ensure that you have sufficient time to apply for a new card.

Ok peeps, now I'm cross. I've read and re-read all your fab stuff. I want this card, and I don't have a Barclays account.... so I made an appointment with my local Barclays, I went to see them and was put through a gruelling 25 minutes of nosy questions whilst the assistant sneezed her horrid germs in my face. I produced a driving licence and a utility bill. I have an excellent credit record and solid everything else too.
After all that, I got refused a bank account at all! Apparently I only make a grade two....what on earth does that mean?...I had a cheque in my hand to open the account with, I wasn't asking for anything...I am a 45 year old bog standard housewife...since when have bank accounts been judged by income levels? I bet I would have been given one if I were a student with no money....rant...nobody says no to me...grrrrr

Can anyone shed any light on what a grade two means within Barclays Bank?

it appears you have to have an account with Barclays in order to apply :-(


errr. I aint got an account with them, and I'm sure that if I had told them I had they would soon suss it out.

U still need a mule card like Egg to get the funds in an account right?

My Egg is in Anneversary at the mo and they don't do a Blue card anymore.

What other cards can I use?
