Do they ask for the 3 digit number on the back of the barclaycard?

As I have done a balance transfer to halifax....

I've just clicked on the link and the 0%, fee free balance transfer only applies to those with a Barclays account - for those without an account, there is a 2% balance transfer fee. Please correct me if I'm wrong as I would like to apply. Thanks

Looks like they are making the 'no fee' offer for barclays bank account customers only.

Not sure what would happen if you continued with application but entered a non-barclays bank account though. Depends how strict they are being.

I applied on-line for a card on Saturday. Was even told what the card number was and received the card on Tuesday.

I cant remember which link I used. One link from one of Martin's other pages says it charges 2.5% for a BT.

I wonder if there is really a difference as to which link you use. Surely they would all go thro to the same server handling the on-line application and not one from one web page and one to another.

Damn, just checked and to qualify for the BT with no fee you do have to have a barclays bank account... oh well

Good job I have the balance from my current 0% card sitting in the bank still

In another post I said I had just got a new card.

I think I used Martin's web link which leads to a page which had differnt types of card to apply for.

On the conditions page for my card it says

Promotional Annual Interest Rates:-

"0.0% interest for 10 months from account opening(with no handling fee) on balance transfers of £5000 or less, and 6.9% p.a. on amounts over £5000 for eligible balances tranfered within 60 days of account opening."

0% interest on purchases for 3 months.

WOW . . Got all excited about this amazing offer and went to apply online, however, it appears you have to have an account with Barclays in order to apply :-(
