Just had a look on USwitch and its still pretty much the cheapest, bar about £10. Curious but I thought I saw an advert on the side on the eon site last week saying all prices were guaranteed till sometime in 2009?

I thought the same but the only guarantee was on the extra saver discounts which were until 1st April 2009

Are USwitch using the latest tariff's from Eon when you compared.

I've been on EON EnergyOnline Extra Saver for 2 months (used uswitch) and feel pretty outraged to receive a price increase letter 5 days after the actual rise.

I will probably leave them just on principle.

Just had a look at uswitch and it doesn't look like they have updated prices. Funny how so many of us have just changed to eon, looks like we have been conned. Particularly annoying is their lack of customer service as I haven't had any letter advising me of a change. Has anyone any idea how they justify a 46% standing charge rise on gas?

Looks like eon have changed a load of tariffs.
Version 6 has been withdrawn and the version 7 tariff is the same rate as the new rates for version 5. Only difference I can see is the discount is 10.4% on version 5 and 7.5% on version 7, so there is still an advantage of 2.9% until 1 july 2009.

I was looking at swapping to a capped tariff to 1 October 2009 with eon and at the time it was version 14 this is now gone and replaced by version 15. The increased rates are still better than the version 14 capped, but for how long? More than likely they will put the rates up again just before the cold weather hits again.

I comfort myself in the meantime that eon v5 is still cheaper than my old provider Scottish Power, but I will probably swap again soon.

Perhaps we should all load up new meter readings with inflated readings to grab the old rates..?

Monkeyspanner its as i thought odd's on that none of the comparison sites have updated, better to wait a few days before comparing anything.
I'll have a look at what's on offer next week.

Forgot to mention I did get £55 back from e.on for switching dual fuel via quidco so don't switch via uswitch just use them to compare.

Quidco dual fuel switch money back rates are currently:
    E.on £55
    N Power £40
    B Gas £60
    Scottish Power £62
    Uswitch £12

So I reckon 2 switches a year could save me about 7% on my fuel bill.
