I rang the number. The person who picked the phone knows no one by the names, both ebay registered name and the bank account holder name. Although the person sounded like the same ethnic origin of the seller.
They might be lying. Get a girl to phone them up, say they've been overcharged by £100 for electricity due to a meter problem and you want to arrange a refund - could they confirm what name is the account in? And the billing address?
Report them to eBay for false contact details anyway.
However make sure you take a print out of the listing, dispute, etc first and anything else you might need as evidence.
When eBay kill the account, everything goes!0 -

I ran a google search on the name, to whose account the money was transferred. A guy with same first name and surname has submitted a one line review in Lovefilm. The location is same as well, Glasgow.
Barclays say that they can only confirm that money is sent and nothing else can be done.
Lloyds TSB says that they cannot open an account to see details in the absence of the account holder. They have taken the complaint(kind of) but that is it.
Does it seem promising to anyone about getting my money back. :rolleyes:0 -
As posted previously the banks will not aid you in any way without a court order or without the police being involved.
It doesn't really matter where the money went, the banks can't or won't get it back for you , this needs the law involved.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I ran a search in 192.com for the guy whose account the money went.
The search result shows the name of the person Mr.Money Receiver and Mr.Ebay Seller as the other occupant in the same address in Glasgow. To get full details I need to pay minimum £9.95. Is it worth it to pay and get the address details.0 -

As people have been saying, go and report it to the police. They can do the tracing of the names and it won't cost anything.====0 -
I have emailed him to give a final chance to get back to me and refund my money back. Tommorrow morning I am making a Police complaint.
Both guys are in face book with loads of friends.0 -
The zero feedback and selling is a red flag for me (that together with very recent joining date). I would have thought most sellers would start out as buyers and have some sort of feedback behind them. For '0' feedback, i thought everyone starts somewhere. I'll be nice to him and give him the start.
