Evening all
Hi Bubbs and welcome.
Hugs to everyone who has poorly OH's or feel c**p themselves.
Why is it when I sit down to have some me time OH thinks I should be doing something else (sorting out childcare for Friday) and DS wants something to eat despite having had an enormous dinner! Haven't stopped all day and now feeling very grumpy:mad: . Have spent most of the day literature searching on the computer, in-between cutting back the triffids growing over the front path. Don't know why OH couldn't have done the latter. Also nipped to Lidl and checked the allotment. Shall go and do some weeding tomorrow.
Anyhow, enough whingeing. Off to tell DS to get into bed!
Night all, sweet dreams.

OMG I've just remembered the Turkey (for 10) is defrosted in the oven (for safety re the cat).
I'm going to have to make it tomorrow, I may put it on slow roast for about 8 hours, upside down to keep it juicy.
There is no way on the planet it would fit into a slowcooker.....what was I thinking.
Next time I get a bright idea to defrost an humongous turkey when I have a really busy week at work and OH can't eat anything as he's had 3 teeth out, shoot me someone.:p;):DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Evening
Had more good news about my freelance work. If things develope the way they're planned, then I should be jetting to warmer climates soon!! Will tell all when I know for sure!
Normal work is ticking by much the same as ever. Trying to reduce how much I go out for them as I can't afford to run the car. Expenses just don't tally up with the cost of fuel.
Been shopping for bathrooms, but yet to see anything I like. Also waiting on more quotes for the windows. Cancelled a staff night out this week. Was going to cost £15 for food, then add drinks on, plus putting in for a leaving present, it was getting silly. So will give the £2 they want for a leaving do and be done with it.
Doggie goes back to the vet tomorrow to get the stitches out of his ear - bless him, he's been so good. Going strawberry picking as soon as we have nice weather to make jam. Got loads of bananas so will be making a banana bread soon too. Everyone at work expects me to take it in for them, but I'm affraid we need our OS at home to survive!
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning gang!(yes I know but I wanted to get on here early so......:rotfl: ) Well full and eventful day here. DH SO NOT impressed with the SATS marking fiasco, had to take Phoebe to the vet(my beautiful little grey and white girl) might not be too good. The bill was £78!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aw well. Then back to try to get a tiny bit sorted. Made some bread then had a look at the freezer_pale_ _pale_ _pale_  . Can I also appologise to anyone having difficulties buying Quorn saussages I have every packet in Europe in my freezer:o . Made tea (quorn, mushroom broccoli in mushroom sauce with pasta) Tomorrow will be toad in the hole:rotfl:

Hello all,
MUCH later posting than normal. Went back to work today wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Its easier sometimes when you're busy, I find that if I stay at home I tend to 'dwell on things' and feel sorry for myself
In answer to Chrisca50's question yesterday, the rose we bought was a pale peachy colour.
Just going to skim through the rest of the thread. xx0
