OS Daily Tues 3rd June

Good Morning All........off to get the sticky

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 3rd June, 2008 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything ski m through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Woke up at 4 when OH got in and couldnt get back to sleep, worries seem so much worse that time in the morning so got up, gives me a head start on the day.

In a minute need to check business banks and do wages, then will pop into the bath make packups and wake up the kids. Will do some washing but not much hope of drying outside unless the weather drastically improves.

Off after the school run to the hospital with OH to see his consultant, I will be going in with him so as to remember everything that is said, think will find out today that OH needs two operations.

Once home will be some housework and ironing, pie and mash for dinner tonight.

Hope you all have good days, (((hugs))) if you need one.

:hello: Morning Essex girl and all who follow!

Off to drs this morning and then on to visit friend. She is home from hospital although still very ill and refusing a stair lift etc which would help. Still I have a norfolk lavender teddy for her and hope to be able to cheer her up a little. Must also phone other friend who is feeling very down, I have promised to show her how to sort facebook and to find some ms sites.

I've also managed to finally book a hairdressers appointment for myself later in the week not managed to do this since Christmas! so it needs doing. Hope to feel a bit better when that is done.

Must get some more yeast in as the last couple of loaves in the breadmaker have not risen as well as before.

Good luck to Essexgirls oh at the hospital today. (((hugs)))

(((hugs)))) to pennypincher, Smoky, Jayward, Candygirl, Looby and Mrs mix and anyone elsewho could use one.

:hello: Come back to specially wave at Catowen, Aussie, shez, Mrs Mix and Tattycath

    Morning folks.

Last of my 4 days off, before what looks like a hectic run of 7. Half of the office staff have been taken away for other enquiries and so we have to pick up the rest....
The weather has turned a bit pants. Windy today with showers. Not looking much better for the week. I hope we don't get one of those summers again.

Managed to cut some grass yesterday and tidy up one of the sheds. Weeded the greenhouse etc. Tomatoes are looking good.

I have a trailor load of wood given to me yesterday all planks from a fence. Most are rotten but they will make good fire lighting kindling. So the saw is coming out later.

Well not much else to say... cheers
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

    Morning all
Off to work soon, lets hope people stop asking me for stuff the Katy should have left them. I gave BIL some information about selling & renting back his house, which is what his ex wants to do, he said he'd show it to her so she could ring them, I suggested it would be better to ring them himself, but I'm not sure if he will, grrrrr.
Hubby won't need to water the garden today as it's lashing down here & has been for some time. If the weather inproves by Thursday he has a days work, so fingers crossed.
I did pasta with smoked sea trout, peas & philly last night, it was very nice & I have enough left or lunch today.
    Have a good day.
    Hugs Hester

Hugs to all who may need one, have only skimmed thread. Work wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Had a chat with my Ward Manager and feel a bit better about things. Looks like there is going to be a palliative care team being set up for people with dementia, looking after people in their own homes, so I have put my name forward to be part of the pilot study.

Day off today, so plan to study and do more studying. House is not too bad. It's stopped tipping it down so I might be able to get some washing out in a bit. Really don't want to use the TD. Also need to spend an hour down the allotment and do some weeding.

Tea is spag bog. Must get the SC on in a bit.

    Have a nice day all

    Morning all

back at w*rk today - I'm in court all week so hopefully will have some nice judges. Feeling a bit nervous as it's dd's first day of her and her friend going back to the friend's house after school to be Home Alone. I have already cancelled the child care element of tax credits but the friend's mum wondered aloud if it was entirely necessary to do so straight away - hmm.

good luck at the hossie essex-boy

    have a good day everyone
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Morning

Essex-Girl, hope Oh gets on Ok at the hospital.

N9eav, 'pants' doesn't really describe the weather here, it is pouring and I have to take the dog out shortly. Think I will wait until it stops a bit, but I could be here all morning :D Slimming World weigh in this morning, so not having breakfast until after I have been weighed

I have some Ebay things to post later, then will pop to Aldi for a few things - I wanted the garden clogs I saw in their brochure, but think I might have missed them :o

Hope someone out there is getting some sunshine x

good morning everyone. although it doesn't look like its going to be a good day. very grey and damp outside. rain on its way I think so no washing dried outside today.

I really need to get a move on. second day of holiday and I haven't done anything of any use yet. yesterday had another lazy day...and then we went out for tea to celebrate end of exams for kids. not sure what I'm going to do, theres so much I could do that I need a plan....so I'll have another coffee and give it some thought...maybe....

Good Morning Folks! Not raining here yet, but has clearly tipped it down overnight. Having walked the dogs around the field I am soaked! School this morning, then I too am bound for the hospital with DH who has to have the first part of his angio stress test today. He's clearly very anxious, so fingers crossed it's not as bad as he fears. Part two of the test will be on Thursday, but we don't get given the details until after today's session. So, Essex-girl, will be thinking of your OH as well.
Hester, having been away I'd missed the fact that Katy's gone now - is this final????
Well, must go get out of these wet clothes and shower before school. Take care, everyone - and ((HUGS)) as ever for any who need one today.

N9eav, that is exactly what I thought, , its pouring down here, and we have had flood warnings, when will it end  .

Morning all, sorry about that, thats my rant over for the day, :D . I wonder how the lunch went with Aussie and Mean Marie, is Aussie home yet, or has she missed the bus :D

Last day off today, need to have a clean round, got lots of washing to do, but no chance of getting it dry, no TD, might have to get one if this weather keeps up.

Oh and DD have sausage mash and veg for tea, I will be having chilli, mash and veg strange I know, but there is not enough sausages for three, and a portion of chilli in the freezer, which I am trying to run down a bit.

Essex boy, good luck today xx

Smoky, mrs mix, pen pin, beth, jayward, anniestar, hugs to you all

Good luck to Mr beemuzed today x
Well better got on, have good days all xx
