Ajax how did the wedding go? Did you manage to have a nice time with Mrs A? Hope Bailey is feeling ok. I know some tips for people with arthritis but I don't think dogs go for cider vinegar and honey!!!

... it went very well thanks tagz. Circumstances meant it was done on a very low budget but they made the best that they could and had a great time which is the important bit.

Bailey's still hobbling, he's not hobbled for more than a couple of days before so it's a bit of a concern now as this is his 5th day. He already has a million things to help him though - every day he has a Pedigree Joint Care treat, the contents of two cod liver oil tablets drained into his food and a Glucosamine tablet hidden in a slice of ham so there's nothing more we can do really. I think he does it for the attention and extra spoiling ;)

    Hi Delly

All four of mine had Chickenpox and the three boys had it all at the same time! I made sure that I cut their fingernails really short and then filed them too, just to make sure that if they were tempted to scratch it would do as little harm as poss. I also put light cotton socks (adult size) on their hands at night and sellotaped them around the wrists to help stop them scratching in their sleep. Have you got calamine lotion? My poor DD had spots inside her ears and down below. Ouch!!!!!

Thanks for the advice tagz, must get OH to cut his nails. yep, DS has spots down below, front and back and inside his ears.... he was up last night from 12 right through till about 3 and then back up at 6. I had a real fight with him to get him to go back to bed (he did though, till 7) and it being Father's day, I was the one to get up at stupid o'clock to let my OH lie in (stupid o clock because it's so early - it's stupid to be up).

To be honest, he's not scratching too much, the piriton syrup and eurax cream seem to be doing the job and I was going to give him a bath in calamine lotion vix later - he's been hot and sweaty as well as itchy, so I wanted to make him feel a bit more comfortable before bed tonight. The main thing is he's really cross at the minute which isn't like him and having been so good through all his teething and other childhood illnesses, this is really testing for both OH and I.

Ah well, need to go off and make dinner now... savoury mince (heB) with potatoes & veg. (free)
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

had my dinner: veggie bake (loosely choped mushrooms, peppers, onions, herbs - all mixed with Olive oil) with Potatoe Wedges all bakes in oven for 45 min... forgot the garlic

Will see if Olive oil is the better one out the lot, as I do like it, but don't know how its going to effect the weight loss program.

Wendy, I thought your first photo was nice, but your second is really really great - you look really smily and warm (and slim faced) and I can't see any wrinkles! Old, pah! And you look just as I had imagined you in the second one.

Hi everyone - a quick catch up after a hectic day.
Had 10 for lunch today - did yummy roast chicken and loads of veg. I must have done a marathon running around after my gorgeous neice Jessica who is 5 and has downs syndrome - I really don't know where she gets her energy from..... She did some amazing floor work on my swiss exercise ball much to our amusement. Never heard a 5 year old with such a dirty laugh before!
Now collapsed after everyone has gone - haven't counted calories today but don't think I have done too badly!
BTW Leo - I was under the impression that you had to lose 3500 calories for a pound of fat.
Has anyone seen the film Atonement? We watched it last night - what a depressing film! I didn't expect it to be like that although I should have known it wouldn't be cheerful being an Ian McKellen novel.
Good luck with your weigh ins!
