Good morning all - feel pretty happy today
after a busy week as the above and not pigging out
So Happy to report that my weight has dropped from 18st3lbs to 17st12lbs - 5lb loss!
Yipppeee! It's hard to find the balance when you are love.
You're lost in the middle cause you have to decide between mind & heart.
Heart is the engine of your body but brain is the engine of life.

I get it now
But I don't know why they base the nutrition info on 100ml when 100g would be more appropriate in my opinion
Although 186 would look a lot worse than 84 calories....
... it's labelled like that cos it's made like that. When the ice cream is put into the tub, it's in a liquid form - that's why you always hear about a litre tub of ice cream rather than a half kilo tub of ice cream. A litre tub holds a litre of water, and it's the only measurement the manufacturer can guarantee.
You'll have seen yourself how there are some brands of ice cream much lighter when tasted than others, just due to process differences. They are all 1 litre tubs but would likely weigh slightly differently on scales.
Well done Mick!
Missy I did you a disservice, it was Lois' team who went crashing out first. Your boys can stay in with a win over Germany tomorow
Today's games:
Switzerland (Lois) vs Portugal (Bails)
Turkey (kpc) vs Czech Republic (tags)0 -
Morning Lovely Peeps
Well done Mick re the smaller trousers :j it's these things that keep us all on the straight and narrow and help us when we hit a rough patch. Keep going...
...Sue Well done on being brave enough to post a gain :j I admire everyone that does, as you know that it wasn't unexpected I'm sure we'll see better results next week..
...I was so pleased to see that I'm not alone with this form of gardening...PinkLipgloss wrote: »Out of interest how does it work out cost wise - when you look at buying seeds, soil, tools etc - compared to supermarket prices? I have no idea of supermarket prices in the UK mind you - are veggies still pretty cheap?
Also - is it difficult? I've never tried growing anything other than house plants!
...The cost will vary depending on what you have to buy. I'm using some pedestal tubs that I bought 3 years ago, for my tomatoes - 2 plants in each; for the cucumbers I'm using another old tub + a trellis for one (still a nice tub, no tatty tubs for my plants) and a revamped flower trellis tub (my MS habits aquired from here refused to let me throw out something that just needed a bit of preservative - which I did myself
)for the other, and they look very good on the patio. Both of the courgettes are in sturdy ceramic bowls that we bought for the purpose about 5 years ago. The climbing french beans are in brand new tubs only £4.75 each as we didn't have any big enough but they will be reused. There is also fertilizer but it's necessary when growing in tubs.
So. initially there is an outlay but it does seem to cover itself eventually I suppose. I must admit that we do it purely for the satisfaction of having a few fresh things that we know haven't been covered in chemicals. It originally started from being in a garden centre and seeing a hanging basket planted up with tomatoes, so we decided to buy it for the novelty value alone, not really expecting anything but a handful of tomatoes, but it was so successful we keep doing a little bit more each year :j .
I've taken some pics too and will compare progress over the weeks...
...Lois Our gardens must be very similar, we seem to be so alike - No! Don't cry! Please!DD will only eat beetroot raw, and does exactly as Dragon does ^^^, I'd only ever boiled it before and was quite surprised how nice it is raw...
...FFM Thanks for the info about the 40g ice cream scoop equalling 100ml that makes things so much easier :j Why can't they just put that on the side of tubs. The other week I bought one that gave the calorific value in mls and then a serving suggestion in gmsbut I'm trying to cut down on the stuff
...
...Just a quick update for you re tennis to let you know that Rafa:happyhear is through to the final at Queens :j :j and if any of you haven't seen him before he's on BBC2 at 1.50pm :j but just remember he's mine!!!!:rotfl: ...
...Beanie Thank you for your lovely postit was hanky dabbing time
; now, regarding the gardening....
....oh! darn it - I've got to go and answer the phone :rotfl: ...
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Morning everyone!
Thanks for the info about the ice cream Ajax, in my ignorance I never knew it went into the tub as liquidMy brain is now wondering how they do neapolitan (sp?). I'm not really an ice cream eater, yesterday was a one-off but it's interesting to find out this stuff
So it's me vs Erlqueen (I think) in the big game tomorrowThis is the one that has live Germany vs Austria ski jumping as the pre-match entertainment before they show it on the big screen in Innsbruck
Guess which part I'm more excited about :rotfl: Doubt my team will go through so I will have to become someone's cheerleader after this
Mick congrats - 5lb loss - WOW!
Sue-UU, sorry about the gain, but at least you know why and you seem to be straight back on track anyway which is the important thing!
Your poor DS, DellyHope the worst is over really quickly for him.
It's my weigh in tomorrow. I had what I consider a "false" 3lb gain last week so the only weight loss I will take credit for is anything OVER 3lb :rotfl:
I've been ultra good and stuck to 1200 calories daily with light to moderate exercise(Calories Monday to Saturday - 1211, 1188, 1193, 1200, 1206 and 1196 so very consistent!)
Going to redo the lunch plan now because I've changed my mind about what I had planned
Happy tennis Pet!0 -
Thanks for the great info Petrichor,
I'll be on the case as soon as I find someplace to live in Glasgow!

...........oh noI have no idea. Maybe they freeze it in stages or use dividers. I looked on tinternet but the so-called best answer to the question on yahoo didn't actually answer the question !
With yesterday being the wedding (ie buffet and beer) I did a midweek weigh yesterday morning and has lost 2lb, but that's bound to turn into a gain by the time Wednesday comes around. At least I was doing ok up to then! Turns out it was a bit of Chinese Whispers regarding the Bring Your Own Beer thing on Friday afternoon - the mother in law was told "When you see Martin, tell him we've got beer here but if he wants wine then it's best that he gets his own as we don't know what he likes"........ the mother in law relayed "You've got to bring your own beer" Never mind, I still got the best deal by staying home with Bailey and the TV golf.0 -

Hi Mum!
I'm fine thanks! Had a mad day yesterday. ran two miles but had to stop running as my foot hurt, then after taking the kids to their swimming lessons took our eldest up to his Art College so he could see the end of year show and meet his new tutors and fellow students. The fast worker met a girl (part time model!) swapped numbers and they are going out next Sat!!! Then straight out to a friends house for a birthday party. We didn't get up until 10 today we were all cream crackered!
How's your weekend been? Did virtual Dad get spolit for Father's Day? Send him my regards!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Ajax how did the wedding go? Did you manage to have a nice time with Mrs A? Hope Bailey is feeling ok. I know some tips for people with arthritis but I don't think dogs go for cider vinegar and honey!!!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0

Tagz - no way!!!!!!!!!! Did not imagine you to look like that!!
Why is it every lady on this forum is good looking????
Howdy everyone, Im soooo tired. Finished the stock take at work. That was a rubbish experience. Had a pizza hut yesterday aswellbut i had to sociable so i went with my girls. Got up at half 6 this morning to work at the cruise terminal. That was boring, and now i feel like a snooze!
Rugby yesterday morning was appaling. What ruined it for me (more than the ref) was the sodding commentators!! Did anyone watch it? Jeez. I hardly heard any praise for england, all i heard was "carter, ohh carter was fabulous there, carter definatly in the running for man of the match" The silly commentator was probably going to go in the showers after the match and meet him. Totally ruined the enjoyment of the match for me.
England v new zealand cricket however = good stuff!
hope everyones having a nice sunday. Good weather down in south east.0
