tagz, well done on the running you are doing well , yes v. dad did get spoilt rotten , I told him about you and he said why don't I try running 2 miles a day , and with a bit of luck by the end of the week I'll be 14 miles away [ thats not nice is it lol ] , my word virtual g/son is a fast worker , who does he take after then ?, I'm not doing at all well on my diet at the moment , but eventually I'll get my head round it .Nice to hear from xxx

Tell virtual Dad that I don't think that what he said was very kind! I am virtually annoyed with him!:rotfl: Not sure who DS takes after. Took OH and myself ages to get together - in the end I asked him out so I suppose it's me. Don't worry about the diet you look gorg already, any extra you want to lose is just fine tweaking!

ooh tagz - how lovely you look and nothing like I imagined either! Tell me about the cider vinegar and honey for arthritis. I have vaguely read about it before but what's your experience. (& I wonder if it helps my sort?)
Wendy - if you can just focus on maintaining for a bit that would still be brilliant.
Glad the beer debacle has been clarified ajax.
Just had a friend with an allotment deliver strawberries, spincah and broadbeans as they have a glut of them. I like friends like this:D .
Re organsing study in the hope that moving furniture around will magically create a lot more space. This will delight OH when he returns form work, er not, as he hates change.
Mick - 5lb loss is a great start and I hope your are very encouraged. All this talk of ice cream... we treated our selves to a '99' yesterday on our day out. £2 each: couldn't believe it. WE don't normally have it in the house though, too tempting and I guess from childhood I still regard it as a special occasion treat.
I need to get down to making a shopping list and buying it. We're very short of everything and I find my planning is falling apart and that is always bad news for my wl. Can't quite be bothered though. I'd love to have staff.
Poor ds delly. Not very nice for him or you. Hope he recovers quickly.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I don't know much about chickenpox but DS seems to have it really badly. He's got the spots all over.., his back, chest, hands, legs, feet, even through his hair - I mean everywhere and I don't know what else to do for him other than the medicine and lots of fluids. ..

    Hi Delly

All four of mine had Chickenpox and the three boys had it all at the same time! I made sure that I cut their fingernails really short and then filed them too, just to make sure that if they were tempted to scratch it would do as little harm as poss. I also put light cotton socks (adult size) on their hands at night and sellotaped them around the wrists to help stop them scratching in their sleep. Have you got calamine lotion? My poor DD had spots inside her ears and down below. Ouch!!!!!

Dad told me to try a tablespoon of each mixed together each morning. Thankfully my arthritis isn't that bad so not too sure how useful it is but seeing as it won't hurt you and that cider vinegar is supposed to be anti ageing too what's the harm in giving it a go!

    Oh and thank you too!shy-smiley-17314.gif

2 pounds for one 99 cone!?!?

I'm not looking forward to dealing with the price of stuff back home

Only £1 for a 99 from the local ice cream man (or a 'double' for £2), but I can well imagine they are £2 elsewhere... or even more  Did you have a good day BB apart from fainting at the ice cream price? :D

Trouble is its all posh down south isnt it BB. We dont mingle with the folk who still pay 99p for their 99ers :p

I remember when i had chickenpox. I gave it to my brother so we both had time off. Still remember it to this day and i must have only been 4 or 5. Having a 13 year age gap meant there wasnt many times when we were both at home playing together, but i remember it so fondly.

Im a rashy sort of person anyway, and i remember when my mum run me a bath and put tha whitey crap (i take it thats camomile) in the bath. I got in and ran straight back out again! well painful, gave me a burning sensation so we didnt try that again! Although maybe your son might not react in the same way delly? might be worth a go!

Yes, we were a captive audience for the icecream - it was from a van but within a pay for entry fair. Yes, not very mse mick, but I haven't had an ice cream for yonks, and we don't get out alot so I just coughed up and imagined the seller had 5 kids to support:rotfl: . We did have a nice day thanks missy - considering there was nearly a stabbing incident in the kitchen before we left (me with knife, OH nearly intentional recipient:D ). Still all turned out ok in the end, and rather than burying him under the patio we went to the sussex county fair at Parham House. A nice low key event with lots of dogs and country pursuits. OH bought me a new red waterproof jacket for walking int'countryside: another size 12 (:j ) - they must make these coats extra loose.
Yes vix - that's the price we pay for being well posh innit. Decent weather though:D
