Mick, where did you get the 1lb = 2,500 calories as I thought it was 3,500? Suggs is probably your best person to compare gym notes with, he's been known to do crazy numbers in a gym sesh! My only advice would be to make sure you keep the exercise sensible against what you're eating - i.e. if I was eating 1,200 cals I wouldn't attempt a 700 burn session, but if I'd eaten 1,700 that might be ok
Need to leave your body enough cals for the everyday stuff
BB - stabbing incident?
Wendy & Tagz, lovely pics! I would have imagined you to be the other way around with hair colours
My week has ended with an average daily calorie count of 1,199 (wasn't more than 12 over/under 1200 on any day). I've exercised 6 out of 7 days at an average 1 hour per session. TOTM looming unfortunately  but unless something inexplicable happens there should be a loss tomorrowIt's the most textbook week I've had in a long time! So we shall see....
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend0 -
As I am trying to maintain and lost 1.6lb last week I increased my calories this week to average 1766 calories per day, I have lost another 0.4lb this week
Went out for a Father's Day meal today for OH, with the little monkeys, had a great time - didn't hold back on the food. Whitebait starter, 8oz sirloin 1/2 lobster and chips, followed by chocolate fudge brownie sundae - was so stuffed that I couldn't manage any tea. Will probably have some porridge before bed.
I did cycle to work yesterday, 16 mile round trip, so that was 430 calories 'in the bag'.
Anyway, next week I do need to put some back on, my maintaining is just not happening

Hi all - hope you've all had a good weekend.
Delly - sorry to hear your little one has chickenpox. Did you go shopping for SW goodies? I'd recommend you stock up with plenty of fruit, muller lights, wafer thin ham, couscous, and pasta n sauce. What do you use to thicken your savoury mince?
Tagz/Wendy - good to see your pictures, you both look lovely
Ajax - if ice-cream goes into the tub in liquid form, how do they turn it into ice-cream?
Dragon - thanks for the suggestions regarding beetroot, the roasted idea sounds great, I'm tempted to buy some now to try it out! I'm amazed at the seedlings, as they all have beetroot red stems!
Petrichor - I'm always surprised by how much we have in common, but it doesn't make me want to cry.
I'm not looking forward to weighing tomorrow - I had a sneaky mid week test weigh and I'd gained 3 pounds. There's absolutely no reason why that should happen as I haven't eaten anything terrible. Anyway, I'll reserve the hysterics until morning.Note/promise to self - if calorie counting doesn't work, get back to SW!
Have a good week everyone

Tagz, wendy and lois - you all look lovely - and lois I'm sure you still do even with the extra weight x
I have just got back from a wedding weekend, sounds a little bit dearer than the one you went to Ajax, but it was lovely and I went on the pics! I even had my hair done on Sat so felt quite good, just wish I wasn't so big 'up top' 'cos I'm sure it doesnt help - I look fat in anything!
Anyhow have a good night all, even enjoyed the footie - well the last 10 mins were really watchable, even for me!If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Missyg, I really really hope you get the result you want this week - you certainly deserve to. What is the maximum calories/day that you have ever averaged for a week and what was your weight loss? Have you ever charted your ave cals/day against the weight loss for the week - just wondering if there is an optimum cals/day to attain a loss without slipping into 'preservation mode' - ie the body hanging on to calories incase there's a famine lurking - ISWIM.

FFM~I so wish had your problem!
Hi beanielou, I know it sounds 'good' but it isn't really. I am worried that I will 'over do it' and end up putting it all back on. But on the other hand I really must not lose anymore. I really think maintaining is harder than losing it - when I was losing I knew how to do it, I could be a bit hit and miss each week with my calories but so long as I stayed around 1500 per day I would lose 1lb to 2lb per week. Now I don't know what number works.
