I have photos on my facebook, for some reason people can't see me so here's the link to my photo album

BB - those pictures are an inspiration - I have much more than 2.5 stone to lose but hope I see as good results after that much!:j
Just got back from aquafit and am starving- I only have 300 calories left but can't decide what to spend them on - I may just have some fruit and see how I feel.
I am so sick of football - I naively thought that as we weren't going to be in it it wouldn't have the blanket coverage it usually gets....
At least I am going to the gym more as there is nothing on the tele for me!! - yeah:T
Weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed - maybe not much this week as the cc went a bit wonky at the weekend as we socialised too much - but had a fab time.

:j Hewwo People!:j
Firstly, I am alive and kicking after joining the gym gym last week!:j
In fact, worryingly, Im finding it dangerously addictive!!!:T
Having ashamadly done virtually no exercise for a number of years, Im actually beginning to realise that I might have been missing out on a marvellous thing!
Im aiming for a 5k in 40 mins (seem to recall this is a good marker). What pace would I need to work towards on the treadmill for this?
Im proud to say I have managed to do 40 mins on the x-trainer without
a) Fainting:T
b) Falling off:T :T
c) Needing a Paramedic:T :T :T
I attended a Balance class last night - for the uninitiated its a combo of Yoga and Tai Chi - all ages and sizes. I was rubbish and it seems I have no balance but it can only get better. Its good for toning and strength, no running round in leg warmers and leotards! lol
Anyway, at the risk of becoming a bore and preaching (Lord knows Im guilty as anyone when it comes to neglecting my fitness), if you are worried about going to the gym, dont be. Im hoping that Ill feel the same in a years time, and even more hopeful that Im at my target weight.:A
I want to set myself a goal of running the Race for Life next year, which would be totally beyond what I could believe I could do a year ago.
Thats all for now folks.
Love to All

40 mins on the cross trainer after a week is marvellous - well done you!!!
I'm aiming for about a 13 minute mile on the treadmill in training for the Race for life - at the moment I'm just around 15 so a little way to go....my race is on July 6th.....

Is it just the mile? If so I think its totally realistic to do that next year!!
I find the x trainer suddenly gets easier after about 10 mins, think that must be my 'wall'!!

Sorry - no it's a 5k which is about 3 miles but I pace myself on the treadmill and also do the bike and cross trainer too.
I used to find the gym a trial but have been going twice a week since last November and actually love it now....

Thats good to hear. I find it a bit of an escape to be honest and know there will be days when the novelty factor has worn off that Ill find it a struggle.
Im also going to ensure I take my kit when I go away with work as the hotels we use always have a gym. Spend my time there instead of in the bar!

Gah I hate the x-trainer!!
When I run on the treadmill for 20 minutes, it clocks up 2.33km. 5km in 40 minutes is prob too fast for me!!
