I absolutely love all the pictures of everyone - befores, afters, in betweens. It's just so good to know that we are all real people. (If you see what I mean) And apart from that, you are just awe inspiring.:T :T :T

I'm away for the next few days at a conference, being obliged to eat whatever is put in front of me. Oh what an ordeal. Probably there will be free wine too. I'll do my best to resist but ..... :o

There is a gym and I have packed my cossie and my gym things. :j Does packing count as exercise Missy?

School Dinner Butterscotch Tart -- the recipe has been shreddded for the good of man(and woman) kind. But the main ingredients, apart from the pastry, were condensed milk, sugar and butter. So don't even think about the calories!

can someone post a quick guide to how to post a picture? I may get brave and put an 'action shot' on here. Calm down ajax! it's archery.

Delly, my oh likes red days too! Hope SW works for you. I'm quite excited about weigh in tomorrow to see whether the calorie counting has worked. OF course I actually went spectacularly over last week so it may not have done. Yay for losers so far, some huge achievements - go claireabelle and victory! Peke, glad to hear you are liking the gym, your post is very infectious. welcome back bindi!

Thanks for the advice missy, I think I'll try and save up as much as i can and then try and be sensible. It would be just impossible to calorie count meals though wouldn't it? Thats another tick in the SW column . . . . . . we're off to huntingdon which is a bit of a random choice. We've been saving up clubcard vouchers for ages and various other vouchers and have managed to get 2 nights b&b in a niceish hotel(old english inns) for £20 & vouchers, plus a mornings falconry lesson each for £5! Then i've a got a voucher for a cheap cream tea and a 'get a main meal free' voucher for chef and brewer so all in all it's very MSE holiday!
  • Hi again everyone,

BB - Fantastic weight loss! WD. Its lovely to see the results of all the hard work!

Finally recovered from the riding accident enough to sit on a bike again, although since falling off, I've had some sciatica in one leg. Not too bad unless I walk too much (more than 1 mile at the moment). The trouble is that my hayfever has kicked in in a major way and the tablets that worked a couple of years ago aren't doing very much (I have tried everything else on the market at some point in my life). I'm really itching to get back into exercise, but I'm not sure what to do! Ice skating is usually my saviour a this time of year but sciatica will definitely not let me do that. I could go swimming, but does anyone have any ideas on what I could do? I miss my bike!!!

I can't remember what 'wl plan' you follow beanie - and how you plan to maintain. Are you relaxing for a little and then going back to basics for a week or two? It isn't always easy this maintaining lark. It is a whole new journey in it's own right. But you got to target before, so you know you can do it again. I think it's normal to put a few on and then take them off. You are never going to be exactly the same each week. Perhaps you need to revist your plan a little tighter for a week to prove to yourself you can get the added lbs back off again. I think for myself, I have to stick to plan to maintain. If I have a few more treats , I put on and that is fine - there isn't the frustration of foreverwaiting to be at target and added lbs lengthening the time til I get there. But I think i will always have to go back to sticking to plan to get them off again before the gains get too much. I tend to remind myself that by the time we reach our forties, very few people can eat whatever they what and remain a healthy weight so this is no different from friends who aren't formally on any sort of wl plan and who remain in good shape.

Granny - perhaps the shredding is for the best. Sigh. Mixing butterscotch angel delight with 0% fat greek yogurt and putting in fridge for 20 mins is fab - its taste and texture is like butterscotch double cream:D3 syns per portion for the butterscotch

up and down week this week but pleased to report a

    STS week this week.

did get under 100Kg, but not stay there for long
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • Wow!!! what a fantastic loss Victory (and by my team in the footy yesterday :o ).

Love the pics BB, you look amazing!

You should be really proud of yourselves Peke and fitorbust, at the moment all I can manage at the gym is 1 mile on the treadclimber and 2.5 miles on the bike, takes me about 35 mins to do both and I'm so red faced after, that with my apple shape I end up looking like a tomato  . Will persevere with just those 2 exercises for the rest of this week (burns about 300 cals daily), then up it a little next week.

Anyway, it all must be working as I have lost 3lbs this week, really pleased as only 2 weeks in and it's 5lbs already, and I haven't exactly been a saint for the whole fortnight.

Have a great day everyone, time to get the kids ready for school xx
  • Hi
STS for me this week. Ok if I was maintaining but I have just started out on my journey. I feel so disheartened I haven't been able to post - what to say?

Congrats to all those who have lost or not gained. Comiserations to those who are struggling.

Off to work now will try and look in later. Enjoy the sunshine everyone.
