victory - I'm currently living in Osaka, Japan.
It's the 3rd biggest city in Japan (first Tokyo, second Yokohama). There are some food import shops - but no porridge unfortunately - or Irn Bru. Mind you - I'm off the fizzy drinks these days so that's prob a good thing!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" Ty Pet. Yep, ratatouille rocks. I've always made my own but now just buy Tesco tins for about 30p. I know, preservatives n stuff, but I just can't make it for as cheap as I buy it lol!! We must get through half a dozen tins a week here
Happy new thread everyone0 -
sorry efrieze - I'm away tues/wed myself or would happily have stepped forward. I can do next week for you. Have you been collecting the wi's so far this week or would someone need to trawl back and read the last weeks worth of posts? I'm happy to post it Thurs eve - it sounds like you are saying you would do it while you are away, which sounds beyond the call of duty to me!!I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

BB please could you let me know what cheddar you buy? I usually buy Cathedral City lighter mature but they didn't have any today, and I wasn't sure about any of the other 'healthier' choices so I've gone without for this month (will have to eek out the bit I have left)
I like mature cheddar (or even extra mature) and I bet if it passes the BB taste buds test it will be a good one
Spent too much on the grocery shop today.... :rotfl: good thing I'm not in the GC! Speaking of ice cream Petrichor, my son asked me to get some and we haven't had any for ages, I was shocked that it was £2.99+ for a tub!!! (apart from economy ones which are probably vile unless anyone knows different?) He wanted one with chocolate bits but I've ended up buying vanilla and some store brand chocolate to grate and put in it
There is a sporty Nike bikini in the latest Zest magazine which SHOCK HORROR I would actually wear! It isn't showing in the Nike store though, or on any website that sells Nike stuff. Just my luck that it's the ONE bikini which has ever appealed to me, and I can't find it to order it! Need new gym capri pants too, current ones are so baggy, more expense!0 -

I buy tesco value neopalitan ice cream andthe kids love it, previously we would buy solero/magnums/fabs but you are right so expensive so on the GC they say to buy the tubs and use it in cones, goes further than piling it into a bowl, I never eat it but the kids do and I think it was 89p or £1.09, something like that but not £2.99:D0

i had a weight watchers BLT today. It was worth 3 and a half points. If i remember correctly from the little chart that ajax did donkeys ago that 19 points would be my number if i were doing it. For 3 and a half points, it tasted RANK.
Do you reckon it is better to eat Toast with anchor spreadable, a bowl of frosties, porrige with about 2 teaspoons of sugar on the top or miss breakfast altogether. Im trying to work my diet out meal by meal. I will also eat rice krispies with one teaspoon of sugar on. I cant eat them without sugar, so its gotta stay as it is, but is it ok to keep it like it is, or is it more costly than missing breakfast? That is the question im trying to get outha.

vixarooni,
skipping breakfast is not a good idea....
I found this little snippet online which details one of the MANY reasons why we should all eat breakkie:
"
It helps you burn more caloriesScientific research has shown that people who skip breakfast burn fewer calories in a weight loss program, on average 150 calories fewer! There are a number of reasons for this, but the two main reasons are because by eating a healthy breakfast you will actually kick start your metabolism rate which means you burn more calories. In addition, by eating a healthy breakfast, you will are also less likely to eat junk foods (which are just empty calories)."ps - Loved your "RANK" comment - I've not heard that word for ages!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?"
