*Bright-Idea* wrote: »Will say goodnight to you all, got a big day tomorrow.
My disabled son (7) had a big op on both legs 6 weeks ago to lengthen all the tendons in his legs as he has never been able to walk, he's been in plaster casts since then and tomorrow we are off up to London to have the casts removed and see if the consultant thinks it's been successful.
If it has worked he should have a lot more flexibility and with that comes the hope that, with lots of physio, he may be able to walk at some point in the next few years, probably not unaided, but just to be able to stand on his own (without having to be strapped into a standing frame) would be so amazing for him, because all he's ever wanted to do is be able to play with his twin sister and this really is the one and only chance he has to do that, it's all a long way off but definately something to work towards, so wish us luck.
I think it may be a long day, please forgive me if I resort to Mcd's or Burger King xx
Best of luck for tomorrow then - and I think a quick and easy meal would be the way to go!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Procrastinator, I apologise, I assumed what you had posted up was a typical day's intake
Since it wasn't, I must have seemed over the top in my response. I can relate very well to a slow weight loss and I know how you feel. The majority of my loss has been less than 1lb per week. At the moment this is my 5th week of trying to lose the last 1.5lbs!
Glad you are feeling calmer today, hope you have a good yoga session0 -
Wow Marion - you look fantastic....:T Thanks for having the courage to post a picture on for us.
As for my WI results - TOTM hit with a vengance - 3lbs on not surprising since I didn't stick to plan all weekend... again, I blame TOTM. Day one again tomorrow and I will do it this time!
Have a great week everyone.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

Bright-Idea good luck tomorrow with your son, you're forgiven anything at times like that don't worry (as long as you enjoy the meal) Please report back when you get chance
Delly - TOTM gains are so annoying. Hope everything else is going OK for you, have a good week yourself0 -
Wantotobeasaver - Please forgive me I forgot to say welcome!

Hi everyone,
Can I join this thread? I need all the motivation I can get as i'm an ex Weight Watcher (I didn't feel it was good 'money saving' especially as I lost all motivation in the end!) I have the books and know the principles though because I did go for about 7-8 months.
I first decided I had enough of my weight and was going to diet New Year 2007 (14st after Christmas  ) and started cutting down by myself - I lost 1st but gave up around March 07 and put 7lb back on until April when I decided to join WW. I then got down to 12st (lowest ever for me!) and stopped going around Christmas.
I had a health check in work last week and I was dreading the scales, not been a very good girl you see - although I think from WW and dieting I have learnt a bit more restraint and i'd never sit and eat as much chocolate as I used to, as I have it instilled in me now that the guilt wont be worth it afterwards and i'll just beat myself up about it.
Anyway, I was weighed on the type of scales you get at the Doctors and was shocked to see 11st 11lb on the scales (I got on twice to make sure :rotfl: ) still not believing it was accurate somehow.
For my height, I need to be at most 11st 1lb to be at the top of a healthy BMI, so I suppose thats my 1st target. I would LOVE to be a size 10-12 though so thats my ultimate aim (I am a largish 14 at the moment) I have never been thin and I am worried i'll look back and wish i'd just DONE it instead of these half cut attempts.
Anyway - if you'll have me, i'd like to be able to join and post on here
Also, I need to get my bum to the gym - my work has a gym and I pay £5 a month but since my commute got longer I haven't been going as I would have to leave the house around 7 to go for an hour or so before I start work at 9. (I know its no excuse!) I dont want to go after work because i'm too unfit and i'd be mortified if anyone saw me in there.
I just wanted to say WELL DONE to Marion and Suggs by the way - your before and after pictures are so inspiring :TProud meowmy of four fuzzy cats0 -
BB you need to get in line behind me for Suggs' 'special prize'
I am still waiting from LW20! :rotfl:
Sorry missy and BB but I'm still waiting from LW19c'mon Suggs there are a lot of women here waiting for 'it'
surely you're not just 'all talk':rotfl: ...
