Congratulations Victory! Nice prize!
Suggs - I just went through the links you posted above and I have to say that yourself, Starlight and Efrieze all look fantastic! Well done all of you!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

I can't get porridge over here but I do eat it for lunch when I'm in Scotland.
I usually eat cereal for breakfast and lunch - weetabix with pieces of banana."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
Procrastinator - please, please get your calories up hon! What you have written for today's menu could be as low as 500 calories, this is not enough for a day. If you're exercising on this too, then your body is almost certainly storing everything it can get as fat and this is why you are gaining.
I have been exactly where you are - the harder it was for the weight to come off, the more I reduced calories and increased exercise and in the end it had the opposite effect. It was then that I started learning about calories and getting the right balance and things started moving again. I've run into the same thing again recently (though not as extreme as last time), and I'm just trying to sort the balance out again. It CAN be done, you really do not need to starve yourself.
Please at least add some wholegrain - a couple of slices of wholemeal bread, some ryvitas with spread, or something like that to today's menu to get you up towards 1,000ish, and preferably another snack of about 200 cals as well. On a typical 'minimum' day I eat one full meal (usually lunch, which must include protein), cereal with semi skimmed milk & a yoghurt drink, and 2 slices of toast. Sometimes I can have a snack too depending on what the meal wasThat is still very low but remember I have low body weight and correspondingly low BMR - someone with higher BMR would be able to eat more and still lose the same amount as me.
Jump on the scales as much as you like but remember it's only the 'official' weigh in that counts! Mine goes up, quite dramatically, for seemingly no reason too sometimes - I think the exercise affects this in a big way, and I think Suggs would agree there. I know I'm still getting to grips with that.
Jumping on the scales all the time is very detrimental to your over all well being as everyone knows it can go up and then down but when it goes up and you see it then it sends you down and has a bad effect on the whole picture.
Exercise is a way should allow you to eat more (the cals been spent on the exercise) but for the good foods .....work out your allowed cals per day, stick to them and the weight comes off or go onto the WW/SW/ROSEMARY CONLEY websites and get a feel for how many cals per day to loose you need to be on, don't starve it is so counter productive, so depressing0 -

Any takers for the chart this week and next? I am away from wednesday afternoon for a week but could post the chart thursday morning this week and next if no takers. I don't mind - it's just if peeps are desperate for a wednesday evening chart then I will need some assistance as I will be flying both weeks!
Have a massive chocolate attack yesterday and was very very indulgent (bad!) - but if I can do a proper Day 1 today then hopefully it will be damage limitation. After all, how much can we really gain in one day !!! The thing was that I went to bed so grumpy for having eaten all I ate, it just isn't worth it. I just wish I could shake myself and these times and tell myself it isn't worth it rather than just do it afterwards! I guess I am trying to learn from it though.0
