Well done Louise :j and Mark:j keep going
and good of you too Lemon Drop for being brave enough for posting your gain :j as you clearly have it under control I'm sure we'll be seeing a loss from you next time
...
...Ajax I know the BMI tables aren't the same everywhere but the ones I use show the healthy range from 18.5 to 25 so Missy wouldn't be underweight according to these:j. I know when I was losing my weight last year, I was so pleased when I got under 25, but for my build I was still in porky land, I can remember posting about this at the time; and I think Missy is the same as me that it's best for our builds to be at the lower end of the scale, although I'd never be classed as toned and athletic:o ....One of these days I will get the courage and post a photo and then that will teach you all a lesson  :rotfl: ...
...kpc I never thought I'd run either but once my weight got down I found that it came quite easily to me :j My friend's dog used to do that to my leg as soon as I got anywhere near itit was like something out of a cartoon with me trying to shake the bloody thing off :rotfl:...
...Silly me yesterday, I think it must have been wishful thinking on my partbut it was the womens' semi finals at RG so you'll have to wait patiently for Rafa's:smileyhea progress who plays at midday our time :j ...
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

We await your news of Rafa with bated breath....0 -
decided to try the corset on again before breakfast - and got in it! So there's an incentive if ever i saw one!
IS there anyone on the thread who is still attending sw classes who can get at hifi bars? IF so please pm me. I've come across a really good whole foods bar which is great for calorie counters as it's less than 3g fat and less than 100kcal. Unfortunately, you'd get spanked on sw for it. I want to get a look at the nutritional on the back of hte hifi bars to compare them - if anyone can help me?
yay, delovery just arrived. no mayonnaise splashed everywhere this time.0 -
Every summer I could have cried with her as her straps caused her shoulders to bleed.
...what??? Is it really that bad to be .. ahem!... stacked?
Why aren’t you up there Ajax?
... that's simple enough. Other people are much, much more deserving and better examples.
Last thing – can I have a link to the Wii fit thread please?
...here ya go erl http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=922939
KPC, in 2 weeks time MrsA will be going to SW as she's decided she can't do it without group assistance. As soon as her brother's wedding is out of the way (8 days time actually) then she'll be getting suppliesOh, and more talk of corsets and stockings please.
EDIT: KPC, I just had a thought... if you hop over to the Slimming World support thread (thanks Lois) then there's a consultant on there - I think her nick is consultant31 - who seems generally happy to help people out. If you ask about your bars, you may even find that they have enough fibre in them to be counted as a HeB.
Pet, is that really the case about BMI? My doc told me that sub 20 was underweight, 20-25 was in a good range and 25+ was lardy. You'd think that if they used a scale and called it official, then at least it would be blinking rigid. I wonder how many different variations are going around lol0 -
well ive lost nothing this week, its now official as today is weigh day for me:rolleyes:
well did lose 6lbs last week, just wish i had lost this week too, been doing well with my diet or so i thought, maybe more exercise needed!
need to go find a good recipe as i have mince out for tonight

According to the NHS website the healthy range is 18.5-24.9, that's the one I go on. I've not seen or heard anything that says BMI 20 is underweight
The wii fit agrees, so it must be rightI'm pretty much exactly where I want to be - not over, not under and with a decent amount of upward leeway for those holidays etc

Nice mii there missy... she free tomorrow night?0

Vix - well done on setting a target, good luck with achieving that! You seem to have maintaining down to a fine art already, hopefully that's a good sign for when you've lost the 10lb too
Well done Louise, doing great so far, keep at it! Mark, congrats on getting under the 100kg!
Sounds like a fun gym sesh Lesley. I love exercising outside when the weather is nice
Beanie, it was me that did trampolining yesterday, not a formal session or anything, just messing about with my sonWent OK but it's a long time since I've been on a trampoline so I wasn't very graceful :rotfl: I had been waiting until I'd got the sports bra issue sorted out before I tried it (is it dangerous to mention sports bras on a Friday... I know what happened last time )
What's the fat attack fortnight Jules? What do you have to do for that?
KPC, I can see how cal counting would be more difficult for someone more adventurous than me in the kitchen! I didn't count during most of my weight loss - cutting down was enough - but trying to maintain where I am now requires a lot more precision. I don't plan on calorie counting my whole life, but at the moment I'm enjoying it and I'm learning a lot
Lemon Drop I am so glad you posted your gain. I also posted an 8lb in 2 weeks gain a couple of months back when I was away. I got an incredible 5.25lbs off the week after! Sometimes the big gains aren't 'real' gains at all. The docs comment to me was "slim and athletic", I think it was Bails afterwards that said her ideal comment would be "toned and athletic"You can DEFINITELY 100% become fit and toned without running! I don't consider myself 'built for running' in any way whatsoever.
Brill news about the bras Raph! Good plan not to spend lots of money on bras (or any other garments) while you're still losing as wellThat is one of the small drawbacks of losing weight in a relatively short time, the constant replacing of clothes.
Erlqueen hope to see you on the wii fit thread soon!
Petrichor I'd love to see your picture if you would like to share sometime. We have only seen you hiding so farI keep threatening to get a nice 'after' picture done... the last one was such a snapshot and I'm actually 7lb lighter now as well.
Susie - 6lb off over 2 weeks is fantastic, please don't lose sight of the bigger picture
Haha Ajax... my mii is always free0 -
Haha Ajax... my mii is always free
... I really hope that's not a euphemism
I agree with missy, it would be great to see more pictorial sucess stories, even if the shy ones need to cover their face or something? It's good inspiration and anyway, why shouldn't you shout your achievements loud and proud?

Definitely - I agree!
I promise to put mine up when I hit target - end of August me thinks. Watch this space!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0
