Sorry guys - just another flying visit. Today is my anniversary (I thought it was 38 years but it turns out it is only 36 - seems longer haha), My girls took me to London where we saw The Jersey Boys - it was a great show, then we had a walk through China Town, went to Leicester Square and had a meal and then I had my hair cut at one of those places that says HAIRCUT £6 - turned out to cost £18 BUT I had the best haircut ever. If you ever meet a very nice Australian boy named Kevin let him cut your hair!!
Anyway I Stayed the Same this week, and I am not too hopeful for next week as we are off to Belgium tomorrow for 5 days - so I might be in for one of my record breaking gains next week:o  !
Love to all

BrightonBelle,
ah - I see! Well at least you can eliminate Japanese from the list of possibles! Sorry I don't know any other languages - perhaps missy or ajax might have some ideas?"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" Happy Anniversary Marion!
Ooooh Belgium - famous for it's wonderful waffles and chocos! Enjoy them and your holiday and focus on healthy eating when you get back
One of my best mates is Belgian. She visited me a few weeks ago and brought a big bag of waffles and a box of chocolates with her- luckily for me OH scoffed them all pretty quickly! :rotfl:"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" i think i can swear in japanese but i'm not sure. the girls could never tell me what it meant because they went into hysterics every time you said it; 'very bad word! must'nt say that word! SQQQUUUUUEEEEAAAALLLLL!' They were very giddy.
BBelle, i would def recommend the silicon ones - i've got some le creuset ones that were hugely expensive at £10 each, but they are worth it. They take some used to getting in and out of hte oven though as they flop all over the place. I don't usually bother even greasing them, and everything pops out just fine . . . . as the vicar said to the choirboy . . . . . .
sorry. sometimes the smut just slips out. ooops, there i go again.0 -
Brighton_belle wrote: »Ah, how interesting. Well we had a wonderful wooden boat as a family when I was young called 'satu marru' and we always understood it was a japanese name. But someone told me this afternoon that 'satu' is a girl's Finish name meaning 'fairytale' which is rather lovely but doesn't explain the marru bit so I suddenly thought to check what turns out to be a myth re our boat's name...
Could it have been a mis-represetnation of sayonara (if that's how you spell it) which I think might be Japanese for something. OH that so doesn't make sense --- Mr Granny is away and I've drunk half a bottle of cider and can't be held resposnsible ......:o (always was a cheap date)0 -
Lemon_Drop wrote: »dellybelly Hope the potty training is going well! I'm taking the very slow approach with my DS, he's only 19 months. We've been sitting him on the potty a few times a day for about 2 months now but keeping him in nappies in between (I'm not brave enough to let him go nappy free yet!) He always has a wee first thing in the morning, and often a no. 2 after breakfast. Anything else is a bit hit or miss (more often the latter:rotfl: ). Its so funny, he always insists of having a book to read whilst sitting there! Was so pleased with him this morning though, he actually asked for his potty for only the second time and did a wee:j . (Wouldn't have believed I could get remotly excited about potty training before he was born:rotfl: . I gave him some chocolate as a special treat - I'm not going to get into a habit of it, but he still has some of his easter chocolate left.
I really can't get my head around how to manage the training when out and about. We will continue at snails pace!
19 months! You're amazing. I wasn't even going to attempt it until I felt I absolutely had to... considering he's starting Nursery in September I had to.
The results today from dribbly boy is 4/8..... he's had 4 accident's and 4 successes.. and I have to say, I put 2 of the successes down to sending OH to buy Thomas the Tank Engine stickers from the pound shop... He couldn't get his wee pants down fast enough.:rotfl: . So Lois you may be right about the click... but I bet its motivated by stickers!:rotfl:
As for training when out and about lemon drop apparently Boots do travel pottys... DS found standard toilets intimidating and refused to go on. I think he's only had the successes today because we left his potty in creche for him to use. I think we'll be making the transition to the big toilet slowly.
No results for me yet this week - class is tomorrow and given the night out on Sunday, I think I'll be lucky to STS... TOTM this week too so I'll have to bulk up on free foods I think.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
