Morning all
Pet - sorry to hear you're having a hard time, anything you can share for moral support? I watched the Murray match last night and thought it was excellent, I wonder how he'll get on against Nadal.
Delly - thinking of you and the potty training, you'll probably find that the idea will suddenly click with your little one, it did with my two. Good luck!
Victory - is it possible your Mum might have dementia, or the first symptoms of Alzeimers? She sounds like a nightmare, you can rely on her not to give you any support when you most need it!
Bails - thanks for the lovely mental picture of PLG falling off a seahorse, I had to go back and read her post to find out what she said! :rotfl:
Missyg - well done for your results, you should be really pleased with yourself. I know I can't run (arthritic knees) but I really envy people who can.
Well better get on with some work - I've got to go to London this afternoon, which I'm really not looking forward to, as it's going to be the hottest day of the year so far - the underground will be like an oven.
Have a great day all, and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!

dellybelly Hope the potty training is going well! I'm taking the very slow approach with my DS, he's only 19 months. We've been sitting him on the potty a few times a day for about 2 months now but keeping him in nappies in between (I'm not brave enough to let him go nappy free yet!) He always has a wee first thing in the morning, and often a no. 2 after breakfast. Anything else is a bit hit or miss (more often the latter:rotfl: ). Its so funny, he always insists of having a book to read whilst sitting there! Was so pleased with him this morning though, he actually asked for his potty for only the second time and did a wee:j . (Wouldn't have believed I could get remotly excited about potty training before he was born:rotfl: . I gave him some chocolate as a special treat - I'm not going to get into a habit of it, but he still has some of his easter chocolate left.
I really can't get my head around how to manage the training when out and about. We will continue at snails pace!£2008 in 2008 member 552 £1947 to go! (started 20/1/08) Total wins £61

Hi everyone.
So envious of you pinklipgloss. I would LOVE to go around the world and see different things.
The sun here is amazing today. Im going to go out in it and try and get a tan. Fingers crossed everyone0 -
Morning all, what a beautiful day!
Lemon Drop, the gap between "I don't do running" and doing 5km is smaller than you might thinkI've certainly been amazed at how quickly I progressed. I went out for one test run in May (I was dreadful), but apart from that it was non runner to a PB of 28m22s in 26 days!
I still don't consider it 'enjoyable', but it is challenging and I know it's doing me good. For me, the hard work is forgotten within about five seconds of finishing the run.
What you planning for your birthday then BB?!Thank you for trusting me about the 8 stone, remember it is still at least 7lb heavier than "underweight" for my height
I'm also 'buffering' for a big holiday and potential month-long post-operation layoff (hospy appointment tomorrow so I'll know more then), so it does make sense to be at my lightest right now, not to mention I've been grabbing as much opportunity as possible to exercise outdoors, with this gorge weather
Efrieze - thought your PB outside was 26mins or something? You are still much faster than meAs for you Suggs, what's this about speeding past you?! My fastest time is your slow pace! :rotfl: I don't think I'm ever going to be a sprinty runner, so I'm happy to stick at my 28m22s for now and concentrate on the bike/run combinations etc. Getting under 30mins was the milestone I wanted. Any joy on a bike for you Efrieze by the way (sorry if I've missed a post, I know you were going to look at the weekend)?
PLG definitely a big upheaval for you next week then! At least with the internet now it is a lot easier to stay in touch with far-flung people. In my youth(!) it was all handwritten letters and snail mail! You and your OH seem to really know where your lives are going and I'm sure you both have a very bright and fun future aheadThanks for telling us about your plans.
Petrichor sorry to hear life's not going too well at the moment. Is there anything at all we can do? I sort of feel like you're suffering in silence there, do you have someone you can talk to about the problems? Hope you enjoy the Rafa/Murray game anyway! Who gets your support, or is it both?
Hope London isn't too sweltering Lois, poor you. The underground on a hot day - ugh. Let us know how you get on.
Congrats Mollymop and welcome to the Monday club
I was hoping by the time I finished this message I'd have decided what exercise I'm doing before lunch, but I still don't know
Got a GREAT deal on a washing machine by the way - I love MSE and all the little tricks0 -
Well Done Mollymop, great result. Vix, hope you have some SPF on yourself, no burning now
I make one faux pas Missy and your going to insist on holding me to it! If I had a heart I would be upset!Personally I think when talking about outside I lag behind yourself and efrieze and Im happy to be there - better view
Just wish you had that short skirt on

Congrats Mollymop :j
Sunshine? Bah - I can't wait for winter and dark nights again. All this bright light screws up my console game playing as I can't see the TV screen because of the dratted reflection in my conny!
and... hahahahahahahaha
I got my 1/2 stone award last night AND 'Slimmer of the week'. It's a travesty really. Small evening class and we had 5 newbies / returners, a couple of good weight losses who'd gained last week, holiday returnees who'd gained, 1 maintain and me... reporting a 1/2 lb loss^^
The consultant did say it had been a hard decision trying to work out who should get it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and, though I mocked it in class, it did give me a 'feel good factor' while driving home.0 -

vix,
Virgin Radio (I listen online) keep prattling on about how it's the hottest day of the year! Probably warmer there than here!
Living abroad is a dangerout habit - once you start it you can't possibly go back! I lived in the UK for a few years after living in Australia for a year (had to stay in Scotland to get my degree) and it was tough!
However I'd highly recommend it to anyone - gives you a whole different perspective on life!
There are lots of routes open to you - for example it's really easy to get a working holiday visa for Australia (valid for a year after entry). There are numerous companies that will organise a work visa for you (a language company in London got me my first visa for Japan). There are also countless charities that are constantly on the look out for people to do volunteer work abroad."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
I could never leave my little cute matty at home all on his own!! Hes my life so he'd have to come with and ia cant see that happening!
I have booked a holiday!!! A luxury lodge with spa bath near bournemouth. haha. Bloody wicked. Were going to go abroad in september so this is our little chill out session. I cant wait to cook and play tennis outside and do walks ect. Im going on monday, V excited!
Bright idea - You live near me!! We should maybe meet up together as we travel up to meet the others. FFM lives in the vacinity just a little higher up so if shes coming we could all go up.
I laughed when i saw ajax is called martin. I dunno why, i imagine you to be a blokey bloke lad man. The kinda name that follows on from that is not martin. More frank, ross that sorta thing0
