    Second achievement of the day for me... I'm now a proud sub-30min 5km runner :D New Personal Best = 28mins 22sec :D

I knew I could probably knock some time off after running in combination with cycling etc last week, but I wasn't quite expecting that! Felt pretty much like my limit today though, I'm not sure how I'd improve on that :)

Raph - was the vodka partly to blame do you think? I had a 3lb gain the other week and it was all gone the week after - hope you have the same (or better!)

Nemo - losing 2% body fat in a week is an amazing result! Have you worked out how much that is in lbs? Bet it's a decent loss!

PCL/Raph - it is possible for % of fat (or muscle) to go down, but the actual mass to increase, because % is relative to your overall weight, which can change. It can happen the other way around too - % down but mass up. Took me a while to get my head around that too! It's like 33% of £1 is 33p, but 32% of £1.10 is 35.2p.

Jay, congrats on weight loss this week! Also YoungBean you're doing great!

Mine's a plain grey marl Vix - I'm not really a spots or patterns gal :p Will have to get changed for the school run or I'll get some stares :rotfl: And you don't ever have to grow up totally, just in some things!

I've just remembered I'm supposed to be shopping for a washing machine.

  • hey guys

sorry i didnt post sooner this is the first time ive been near a pc since Thursday.

My dog went for her operation, we picked her up at 1pm i wont go into any other details but after a good nights sleep she was fine on Friday and like a puppy again over the weekend! (even though she is 14)

ive had a rollercoaster ride since Thursday with home life and different things, and i have been totally demotivated and had pretty much given up hope on several things in my life.

i am however still 13stone 10 (192 pounds) my BMI is 24 (in the normal range) but my waist (measurement taken from 1 inch above hip bone) is 37...... i think down from 39 or 40

i wear 36 waist trousers with a belt now, so know my stomach is a major prob area

thank you all who were concerned about my dog and thanks to Tagz for the PM,

my dog is great, and ill get there, just not having a great few days................ and because of various things this week have had to change Monday/Wed to weights nights and Tues/Thur to Bike nights.

Sorry to hear other things are not working out.

    Take care.

    vix,

Am I right in thinking that you went to see Mama Mia recently?

Was it anything like this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=u9ZdTnJ9X9Y

She's a legend! Have you listened to the tracks on her website?

I was crying from laughter :D

    Hi everyone!
Raph, don't worry about the gain, holiday ones don't count do they! You have done such a great job losing so far that I'm sure it'll come off soon.
Well done on the sub-30 5k Missy, impressive!
Sorry for not putting my username on the meet email, doh!
Well done to any losers reporting in so far this week, more to come I'm sure.

My good news is that I went to the gym this morning and completed a 750m swim aka the swim leg of a sprint tri. It was actually 752m as my pool is 17m long  but in all honesty, I think it was a fair bit further again as my shortterm memory kept letting me down and I kept forgetting how many lengths I'd done. It was like Groundhog Swim out there :rotfl:
I feel so, so much better - been having problems with OH and also hardly exercised since Holland due to backlash - and am very proud of myself. :D
