In that case Well Done Missy :T.

DIY went ok, thanks, I was just sorting out the study, I had moved my desks previously, but the shelves still needed moving. The big one is in two weeks when I try to replace a 5foot patio door with 6foot french doors!

As we are racing towards LW22 at a rate of knots, any suggestions for the poll of the thread, struggling to think of one at the moment.

What about a target exercise one?

I have lost 1.25lb this week! In fact it's a clean sweep of positive results - waist smaller, body fat down, water down, muscle % up!

I've now finally lost the 5lb that I've been trying with continuous effort to do since 21 April! Of which 3.5lb went in the first two weeks so the final 1.5lb has taken EIGHT WEEKS of serious effort to shift! It was supposed to take three weeks overall, not TEN!

This was by far the toughest, most stubborn bit of weight I've ever encountered :rotfl: and I'm really proud today because I know I've worked harder in the last 10 weeks than at any other time in my weight loss journey :)

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful support! I now need to STS or if possible lose a little bit more before I go away on holiday - so no chance of easing up quite yet ;)

Just a quickie to report a 2lb gain this week - three days of business lunches and lack of control over my intake are to blame, so Day One today and I'm determined it's coming off with interest by next week.

    Have a great day everyone.

    morning all.

Congrats missy. Shut up bloody want to lose some more!! Youve met your target and now i would just concentrate on the excersise you love doing and the targets you set yourself there. If you put on weight during the holiday, so what? In my opinion you only get one shot in this world and if that cream bun says eat me while youre on holiday then you sodding well eat it. No one knows when there last day on earth is do they?

Im in a fcuk it kinda mood today. Got this super short floaty skirt on from primark (£2!!) the kinda where you bum hangs out when you bend over. Ha, but im at home, no one is going to come over and see me in it so what the hell!

Hope all is well with everyone! A day of holiday browsing and sunbathing awaits me. Im going to miss my life when i have to bloody well be an adult :(

Lois that's the perfect attitude! Have a great day yourself too :)

Thanks peeps :D I am off out in a minute for a 5km run, I'm after a new best time (really I'm after a sub 30 minute, but a PB is a bit more achievable ;)).

Oh don't worry Vix I am going to eat anything I like on holiday! I'm expecting a stone gain - any less and I haven't done it right :rotfl: I do need to keep it under control before I go though.

We can be skirt twins today, I'm also wearing a super short £2 Primark skirt, just at home too! :p

    granny - what's all this talk of cycling eh? I don't believe you're a "granny" at all - you're a fraud! :rotfl:

missy - well done on persevering and finally shifting those last few pounds. It's so easy to just give up but you stuck it out - congrats :T

tags - big congrats on your run! What an achievement :j Out of interest do you know what the fastest/slowest times were?

suggs - don't know if this has been done before but how about a poll about plans that ppl are on with options such as "Slimming World", "Aitkens", "Weight Watchers", "calorie counting on my own" etc?

vix - I know exactly how you feel about having confidence after uni to get good jobs (I felt the same) however - you CAN do it!

My advice would be to make sure your CV looks great, research the company/position beforehand as much as you can (search job descriptions online, speak to ppl who are doing/have done same or similar roles), get someone to mock interview you or at least draw up a list of questions you are likely to get asked and practice answering them. If you do all of those things you'll walk into the interview feeling confident - it works I've never not got a job I've interviewed for. Also - remember to let your personality shine through at the interview - lots of ppl tend to be really rigid as they are nervous.

does this make sense to anyone....
I've been feeling kinda sluggish the last few days (OH sold my mountain bike on Yahoo! auctions and the evil buyer wanted to collect it ASAP  - I wanted to hang on it for a long as possible!) so I decided to use my rickety old bike (anyone remember the "rickety chair" from the Young Ones :rotfl: ?) which has no gears or suspension (auch!) and a rather unfashionable huge basket at the front (anyways I digress...) Point is - after going out for a hour and a half on the rickety bike I feel much better

    and something completely off topic....
